The game has became less about who is better and has instead became about who is faster to the kill

There is no reason to not make a positive change because a small group of people who want to see that change (see: not the whole group, also not the majority) would come back to “complain more”. The community complains about anything. If you used your logic universally the game would never see an update again.

There is no further escalation. There were two routes of leaving your plane without an enemy shooting you down and they just chose the other one. Remove both and you have no options but to give the kill.

Why.

Yes, because you removed your reward from the reward pool by doing so, and it hurts absolutely nobody to simply give the kill to the nearest guy who in reality would almost certainly have killed you if given time anyway… this game is extremely grindy as is without the enemy removing their reward from being a possibility.

I don’t think someone should miss on SL/RP just because his enemy decided to “dodge” the missile by ramming into the ground.

I’ve never really looked at it in that context just the whole free SL RP thing. Like people finding ways to exploit this by getting in matches and dying over and over again. With premium time the crasher looses nothing but the other person can lvl and gain sl, like the console exploit on xbox a while ago

yea and the grind is the worst part of WT. they keep adding more and more vehicles and increasing the RP to get there.

Well lets look at what you said specifically.

Anything missile specific is certainly a top teir only issue.

It takes longer than 5 minutes in prop teirs to reach any enemy planes and matches generally last much longer, this is again, a top teir issue, where there is no setup that can change the outcome of any engagement. It isnt an issue where the games are too populated or the maps are too small, it is simply the nature of how missile combat plays out in a game where death is relatively meaningless.

This can happen at all teirs, but its mostly bombers or strike aircraft, planes that have no chance of fighting back, ramming the ground to avoid giving people kills.

Teamkilling again happens at all teirs, but more often at top teir than anything else.

The only real issue in the prop teirs that can be very frustrating is players who do not know how to play just pushing for headons constantly, but you very well can outplay them and take them into a fight you can win.

This is certainly not the case at prop teirs, there is a significant amount of skill and knowledge needed to play well in a lot of non meta planes, but you can do it, and you can be effective in “bad” planes or in losing matchups.

There are no ways to exploit this that can’t already be done with 2% more effort…

obviously, but not the 5 minute games. they just eat head ons in props.

Correct… I am not counting dead air time for props. For those its like 5 minutes of climbing with 1-2 minutes of actual gameplay… almost less than jets in some cases for me.

What is your point?

Prop games last well over 5 minutes, even if you dont count the time spent climbing to the battle. Of the games I played this afternoon, the games at prop teirs averaged about 15 minutes, the games in early jets lasted about 7-10 minutes and the games in the high end jets lasted less than 4 in most cases. There is a clear difference in the amount of time spent in matches, and this hasnt really changed that much over the years. Prop games may have been a bit longer but they were often drawn out by one or two people who climb to space and wait out the match timer, and there is no fun in that.

That this is an issue, but moreso one to do with certain vehicle types not fitting well into the game, and hasnt ever changed.

In my experience, this seems to get much worse around big sales and events too. So probably avoiding playing during these times can help preserve sanity.

Or you can try to exploit it for easy grinding yourself (ala f8u-2 farming base bombing mig-21 R premiums)

As for more systematic changes:

  1. 3 runways with forced split into groups of 4 with 4 air spawn allowance for bombers/etc.
  2. Objectives that force players to use the full 64/128km map width to reduce player density and thus the rate of snowballing.

So you think your experience invalidates mine?

No? It’s an issue with people being reckless and suicidal.

My experience with props have been…

Take off at 24:45
Your team mows the lawn with bombs strapped to their planes and meets the enemy at around 21:45
You and a small group are climbing off to the side.
You have a battle with the enemy climbers
The guys lawnmowing all die (or the enemy lawnmowers all die)
Match is over with you only getting time for 1 short skirmish.

This changes if nobody else climbs on your team ('merica, f yeah") since I’m nowhere good enough to fight multiple opponents at altitude forcing a more methodical play which means the lawnmowers die even faster making the odds even worse.

I gave up flying america around “our cas is best” WW2 BRs and just went to sim for my fill of f4u-4 and mustangs.

Yes, or moreso that I know what I can see in front of me and people have a tendancy to lie on the internet, especially when they are so emotional they can’t just stop playing a game when they stop having fun.

The quoting system on the forums really isn’t great is it.

And you don’t think I think the same of you and of my own opinion?

my experience is that earth is flat. the experiences of astronauts shouldn’t invalidate my personal experiences and feelings.

Except there is nothing giving him more credentials.

he doesn’t need to be a nasa astronaut this is war thunder mate

I don’t think you understand? Your example paints me as a caveman and him as a genius when in reality there is nothing that gives him more say me.

you being wrong and him being right is what makes you look like the caveman that you said you are.

You aren’t capable of deciding who’s right. Especially since your track record is you’ve never been right once since I’ve seen you show up here on the website. You have a chip on your shoulder and are aggressive with everyone you type to. You won’t make friends or earn anybody’s respect acting like a child.

you are using personal attacks while saying that i am the aggressive one. personal attacks are against the forum tos.
if you want to argue follow the tos. personal attacks arent arguing.

I’m sure you do, especially since you felt so compelled to come to the forums and make a post complaining about it. You are very well allowed to, as am I.
