The game graphics need to be upgraded

As one of developer of video game, it is pretty interesting that Epic game devs released DIY flight sim tutorials with using UE5.

https://dev.epicgames.com/community/learning/tutorials/mmL/unreal-engine-a-diy-flight-simulator-tutorial

Some features such as volumetric clouds are already used in the Dagor Engine, but this will still be interesting.

If I can’t see a vehicle that is concealed behind proper concealment or hard cover on high-level graphics. The ULQ users should have the same dilemma. They should not get a pass just because they’re on ULQ.

I don’t care for cheaters, not even if they’re " sanctioned " by the developers’ shortcomings on getting graphic settings sorted properly.

Gaijin CAN fix it accordingly. The problem is Gaijin has so far seemingly refused to do so.

And THAT is the crux of the problem.

No, maybe English people do.

I’ve never heard anyone say “shop” or “shopping” here in Germany.

What value do people who play on 200e computers bring to the snail. They think they’re going to spend 80e on a premiun tank ? haha.

It’s something I’ll never understand, playing a game that you clearly can’t run decently.

I think the second pic is more a LoD issue rather than a game engine one, map boundaries are low quality on almost all maps. Fulda Gap has by far the worst LoDs once you get the map borders.

A modern computer for 200-300 Euro/Dollar can easily run War Thunder.

A few years ago, I bought my little sister a cheap computer with only an integrated GPU (didn’t have much more money at that time), and it was capable of running WT on around medium settings. I was even able to put some settings on high, and that PC cost me no more than 350€, and that was like four years ago by now.

For around three years, I didn’t even have an annual income of more than ~900€ after taxes, which is less than the average Chinese or Mexican person nowadays earns, and yet I was able to afford a whole computer setup including a display, keyboard, headset, etc., for around 800€, and it can run every modern game, including War Thunder, on high settings.

Funnily enough, War Thunder with SSAA on runs worse than Tekken 8, Elden Ring, XDefiant, Red Dead Redemption 2, etc., all on max settings with 144FPS, but with War Thunder and SSAA, I only get around 50 FPS and it still looks meh

ULQ doesn’t provide wallhacks, that is not a thing.

@Dadadudu

*On ULQ.

Yes, actually. It’s easier to spend $40 than it is to buy a $600 - $1400 computer they don’t need for anything else.
Gamers aren’t just people with War Thunder as their primary hobby.

No, not on ULQ. Perhaps read the entire post instead of selectively filtering out what you don’t want to see.

My former computer also had a GTX 1060 6GB, and I was able to play on High with it. You can get a (used) 1060 nowadays for less than 30€…with one zero, not two. On average, you can get good ones for like 50-80€, and that’s quite cheap.

It also took me like five seconds to find a pre-built PC for no more than 300€, which is capable of running the game on at least Medium, and you could easily upgrade it for cheap to get it to run on High.

Used market prices is not something you can use.
If you increase demand, the price of the 1060 will rise to $150.

As I said, most people in the world aren’t interested in gaming capable computers when their current computer runs everything they want to.

@Miragen
So you proved that the wall is now there.

What… no the wall is clearly not there lmao.

So, are we now supposed to cater to those people and have every game from Elden Ring to GTA to War Thunder, etc., look ugly and not upgrade their graphics because there are some people who have a trash PC and don’t want to upgrade?

They will have to eventually anyway because there will be no OS running anymore on those old computers.

Steam also shut its services down for Windows 7. You can’t just stick with something old which can’t run anything modern and expect people to cater to you and not move onwards with better software, better graphics for games, etc., which all require better hardware.

‘Soon’ the support for Windows 10 will also end, Windows 11 is quite the leap in hardware-requirement afaik, do you want Microsoft to make Windows 11 worse now for people with a bad rig or continue the support for an old OS indefinitely?

Cant speak for the rest of Europe, but in England you usually go to the shops, but some of the older generations might refer to specific shops as stores, like a Department store for example, but just using the word store in that context is rare in my experience.

And there are many reasons as to why ULQ should be removed and the graphics upgraded:

  1. Enhanced Player Experience: Removing the ultra-low quality graphics setting ensures that all players can enjoy a visually appealing and immersive gaming experience. This enhances overall player satisfaction and engagement with the game.
  2. Maintaining Quality Standards: By removing ultra-low quality graphics, War Thunder can uphold a higher standard of visual quality across the board. This reflects positively on the game’s reputation and ensures consistency in the player experience.
  3. Encourages Hardware Upgrades: Removing ultra-low quality graphics may motivate players with outdated hardware to consider upgrading their systems. This leads to better gaming experiences and potentially increased revenue for the developers.
  4. Streamlining Development Efforts: By removing support for ultra-low quality graphics, developers can streamline their efforts and focus on optimizing the game for modern hardware. This can lead to more efficient development processes and better overall game performance.
  5. Future-Proofing the Game: As technology advances, older hardware becomes obsolete. Removing ultra-low quality graphics helps to future-proof War Thunder, ensuring that it remains compatible with evolving hardware and software standards.
  6. Eliminating Performance Discrepancies: Removing ultra-low quality graphics eliminates the potential for unfair advantages in gameplay that may arise from players using extremely low graphics settings. This promotes a level playing field for all players.
  7. Better Optimization: Focusing on optimizing the game for higher quality graphics settings can lead to a more polished and optimized gaming experience overall. This benefits the majority of players who have hardware capable of supporting higher graphics settings.
  8. Supports Continued Development: By removing ultra-low quality graphics, resources can be reallocated to support the continued development of new features, content, and improvements to the game, ensuring its long-term success and relevance in the gaming industry.

I just want to pull back to this actually, because it is genuinely one of the most stupid things ive heard unironically said.“you do not need people with hardware from before the game released to play the game”… right, so when you release a game, who are you expecting to play it? All the people with hardware from the future? I get that you are saying now, 10+ years in the games existence, people with hardware from before the game released need to upgrade, but still this comment is insane in that context. The game needed people with older gen hardware to play it then, and it still does now.

War Thunder already has 3 texture versions.
You can get your 4k textures at any time.
War Thunder’s graphics are currently fine.
People are using Windows 10 or Linux on their older computers.
And on top of that, newer computers are also not as strong as you imply.
The cheapest War Thunder capable laptop I found is $800; which is what most working people are going to buy, cause a desktop is limiting outside gaming.

ULQ has nothing to do with the graphics you already experience if you’re not running ULQ.
ULQ retention isn’t hard to maintain at all.

Yeah literally this guy has spammed the same Ai generated nonsense in like 3 threads at this point.

And wtf you actually have a good take for once

Windows 11 sucks and Windows 10 is better.

So yes.
Yes I do.
