I’m English, let me explain. A place to buy something is called a shop. Always has been. From hundreds of years ago, they used to spell it “shoppe”. Well… you are going to the shop/s, you are going shopping. Simple.
It is not nonsense when the points are entirely valid, and it doesn’t matter whether I use ChatGPT for correcting spelling or grammar mistakes or not. In fact, it only makes my post more understandable and helps to better explain points made.
Nor is it spamming. One post could be argued is a duplicate due to the already many existing ODL threads but nothing more.
I fail to see how there is something wrong with it.
If you want, I can write down the exact same points personally, but then they will have mistakes in them, won’t be as detailed, and won’t be as well explained. So what’s wrong with using ChatGPT as help for it?
At least over half my takes are aligned with most of the WT community.
People either focus on the weird stuff I’ve said, or misunderstand my takes, that people allegedly disagree with.
I do my best to speak up for other gamers, my friends, and of course myself.
I do not speak if I don’t believe it to be true.
However, as a Windows 11 user, 11 is superior to 10.
Citation Needed™, but I wont press the issue.
…and back to the bad takes lmao
I don’t like Windows 11 either.
And yet, Microsoft will still discontinue support for Windows 10 and push Windows 11 onto everyone, just as they did before - several times.
11 has Resource Monitor installed by default, more OS repair tools meaning I can go more years without reinstalling Windows, slightly better multi-monitor handling, and so forth.
Power user features essentially; of course they help computer technicians as well.
And… how much bloatware do you pay for that?
Id rather stick with my stripped-down win10, thank you very much.
Obviously I’m talking in the context of the current situation, which means people with hardware from 2010 or earlier at this point.
If you want those people to continue playing, it shouldn’t be at the expense of the quality of the game, it makes no sense from a gameplay perspective or a business one, as these players clearly are not going to bringing in any money nor is it likely this is a significant part of the playerbase.
I fail to see how that is an ‘insane’ comment.
None.
And on a matter of services: My current Windows 11 has less services running than the default Windows 10 install.
The 4K textures only make a difference with the proper display, and they still look bad relative to modern standards.
That the graphics are fine is a personal opinion; for me, they are fine enough as well, as I also play boomer shooters and PS2 games via emulator, but objectively, they are bad and aren’t aging well either.
Yes - and they will be forced to upgrade anyway sooner or later.
Newer computers are quite strong. I’ve never seen anyone here where I work choosing a laptop over a desktop PC, aside from my older sister. That’s just made up or something exclusive to your area. Desktop PCs are far more popular, and they are far more useful than a laptop outside of gaming. The single only benefit a laptop has is that you can carry it around with you. That’s it.
It took me a few seconds to find a laptop capable of running War Thunder for 500 to 600€ and a desktop PC for 300€.
If they don’t upgrade the graphics of the game due to ULQ or catering to a small minority of the player base, then yes, it does impact me.
And anything further at this point, I would just repeat those points, which I doubt you even read.
They don’t look bad at all.
Games don’t have to and shouldn’t be trying to push the newest computers.
Forcing people out of the game that want to play with a 1060 GTX on ultra isn’t helpful.
Especially for game size, which unempathetic people defend way too much.
“Just have 4 SSDs in your computer. 8TB of storage should be the minimum for gaming computers.” - DCS player takes.
A new game released this month with a file size of 33MB.
War Thunder is 53GB [1024x1024 client] with its thousands of vehicles, and if I could pick and choose which vehicles got the 1024x1024 textures, and which stuck with the low-res stuff, I would.
Cause all I care about is the vehicles I play looking good, I don’t care about how good my enemies look so long as I can see their 3D model.
DCS is a worse offender. 160GB, 62GB+ of which is livery data.
Of which you’ll never see cause you only use 1 aircraft, and it’s in first person.
And all to retain HDD compatibility.
Games can look amazing without “muh 4k textures”.
Edit:
All War Thunder could really use is a new lighting system and better vibrancy options.
100% bait post
If I may, vehicle model fidelity is fairly good. For older vehicles, they are at least updating their quality so it’s not like graphics are ignored. However, the main focus of vehicle fidelity comes at the expense of environment fidelity, which I completely agree looks dated in comparison even with high graphic settings.
Yeah I’d like to see the sun and clouds actually move through the sky, especially the sun in early morning or late evening matches - it really would only apply to SIM where you’d notice since the sun sits at the horizon for 3 hours.
Other than that, the graphics are pretty top notch (especially in ‘movie’ mode).
Me when I used Windows Embedded 8.1 and Windows Server for playing game back then.
Obviously, or else you wouldnt have made it. You might want to do some thinking about your own mentality about the game though.
Main issue aside from ULQ abuse is how washed all the colors are, all the colors are bland and dirty looking.
Yeah I’m sure I will magically completely come around on my mentality by thinking about it… which is how I came to my ‘insane’ comment in the first place.
The points are complete nonsense, and they explain nothing. They are blank statements that have no basis in reality.
Unless you cant play the game, because then you dont get to have an experience.
How? Any explanation at all? People already can “enjoy a visually appealing and immersive gaming experience”, you just need to use the graphics settings that give you that.
Thats just 2 of the points, and the rest are the same, they just dont make sense, there is no actual thought in them. Its not obvious its AI written because of the layout, its obvious because of the content.
I have faith you will one day.
