Must be one of the non-hackers that gets nailed by people like me in the CL-13 Mk.5 and Mk.6 guns only after they try to dogfight us. Or in a Fiat G.91.
Honestly the BR around 8.3-10.0 is so utterly cracked that it’s unplayable as a german player.
It’s so bad that I can only see an utter boycott of said BR to fix this, because then they themselves have to play as us and find out how shite it is.
Not only are we usually outnumbered 2-1 in total 3-4 to 1 in a cap zone, but on top of that:
-the US side has supersonic fighters
-the US and UK have multiple AAM fighters, ranging from same to DOUBLE the missile load.
-Said AAM fighters often have radar, not all but quite a few.
-Said AAM fighters often have radar, double the AAM load and are supersonic.
-Three of those jets have 1960+ Avionics, two of which are 1950s airframes, one is a 1960s airframe (106) with 1970s avionics. Two if we count the Lightning.
-one Jet (Harrier) is a 1960s/1970s jet in airframe and avionics
-9.7 onwards there are two mid-to late 1950s jets with some upgrades and one cannon only Supersonic (so again no missiles)
-None of the German aircraft at that tier have RWR, even those that should (alpha Jet)
-Alpha Jet aside all german jets at that tier are early 1950s jet with early 1950s tech.
-the only radar jets are subsonic with a early 50s radars, one american which is I guess ok-ish for 1950s and one russian one that is questionable as to being worth the weight.
-No jet bar the Alpha Jet has countermeasures.
-The Mig-23BN also has no missiles, and no radar. And let’s not talk about the visiblity.
In short the germans are fighting late second to early 3rd generation jets with mostly first generation jets, maybe very early second generation jets that have been modernized and one trainer light attacker without all it’s capabilities (Audio only RWR, clusterbombs, AGM-65 Mavericks and 1970s/1980s Sidewinders)
And unless the US/UK Pilot is essentially braindead, except for the odd victory here or there the gulf of mexico sized difference in tech, (avionics, propulsion and airframe) is pretty much insurmountable. If the US pilots.
Just for the record the CL-13B Mk.6 the first jet in the german tech tree (aka non-premium) that has missiles has a BR of 9.3, same as the 106.
Same with the 104G being the same BR as the F4F in 1970s config…can someone explain that one to me?
And all that is before we add the french or the Swedes into the mix on the enemy side, which happens often enough.
Or that bloody south african Cheater AAA vehicle with Radar that has no equal in that BR range and is pretty dicey to fight in an Alpha Jet…in a Fiat G.91 or F-84F? Forget about it!
@Morvran That G.91 that was glued to your tail, that wasn’t on Zhengzou per chance? If so that was me…nailed the other 106 in the Mk.6 sabre later.
And the problem with a Sea Vixen is that when we try to run it down, while the enemy team has 106s and F3H-2 Demons, you’re never getting near the Sea Vixen. The Sea Vixen Pilot is going to run, cry for help and you will have to deal with them while he sneaks back and tries to kill you.
Not seeing anyone is also incredibly easy, given that we almost always have bad weather and WT always produces rendering errors in front of clouds. Often just the engines or small center fuselage part renders or something else. (Native no upscaling.)
It might work for a month and a half on a new driver but then it is back. (Radeon user) It works for one and a half months everything is fixed and then Gaijin breaks it with an update. Always after an update on the same driver.
Just for the record, end of the last battle pass I had 1 one day test drive for a Sea Vixen, tried it, took some more risks that others, had one game where the enemy didn’t show up and got sniped by Ship AAA once. Kill Ratio- was still 13 kills 4 deaths in Air-to-air. In 3 Battles! As basically a Sea Vix noobie!
The problem with the Sea Vixen is not the speed, but the energy retention that is far better than anything on it’s BR. It looses next to no energy doing missile evasion, which means it can open up the range while avoiding missiles, while everyone else looses a ton of energy doing turns (even 106s) and is vulnerable to a gunshot or being caught up.
