I get that but having those missiles late game or if you manage to ambush a few people
having more missiles enhances kill potential.
Anyone who isnt using an Aim120/Mica EM is at a disadvantage

I don’t see 10 as a large advantage over 6, especially when the 6 are often better missiles than the 10? Quantity of missiles only matters, ONLY matters, when the missiles are good to begin with
It seems a bit better but would be nice if it had more missiles the flight performance is wayyy better along with a radar thats better by miles
This thing can pull 100gs. It can hit a target behind you
Ever considered that the EF2000/Typhoon is an absolute beast that realistically will run circles around just about anything? There’s really nothing Gaijin can add short of the F-22 to compete with a realistic EF, and nerfing it too much just to make the French players happy will just have the opposite effect on British and German players who will then feel like they’ve gotten an EF with two broken legs.
The EFs weight and thrust in game as they are now are still worse than they are IRL, so the plane is already nerfed. So is the Brimstones, they’re shit.
Tell the French ministry of defense not to back out of the program next time. They were supposed to be on the EF program, but in true French style they backed out and made a worse plane instead because… no one knows. They’re French.
This is not true, in several NATO exercises the one that stands out in dogfight and sustain turns scenarios is the Gripen.
The Eurofighter is not nerfed, quite the opposite, in many aspects it is overperforming, because its flight model is not complete, just like the Rafale (rushed patch).
with a quick Google search you wouldn’t write such nonsense.
The Rafale is just as capable as the Eurofighter, with each aircraft having its advantages and disadvantages in specific scenarios.
The Rafale is a superior ‘ommirole’ fighter when compared to other Eurocanards, in contrast the Eurofighter is a fighter more focused on air superiority and better interceptions than other Eurocanards, while the Gripen has a cost benefit and a dogfight performance that no other Eurocanard has, each plane has its trade off, the EF is not this mythological beast that you say it is.
France abandoned the EF program due to divergences in the development of the aircraft, in which France wanted an aircraft that would replace the Etandard, Crusades and Mirages, to be used in both the Navy and the Air Force, while other countries already operated some naval aircraft such as the AV8 B+ (Italy, Spain and England) or already intended to modernize the fleet of naval aircraft with the F35B and C (Italy and England) or simply had no interest in naval aircraft (as was the case with Germany).
In addition, the initial development of the EF was for an air superiority fighter, while France wanted a multi-role/omnirole fighter from the beginning.
Didnt France drop out when the Typhoon was not going to be navalised. With the UK chosing the skijump and F-35
Well said, in addition to that the Rafale is a vector of nuclear deterrence allowing France to be autonomous on the subject.
this actually kept getting brought up. Is this real? any documentations? I’m actually curious since the weight difference between full loadout vs empty loadout are really massive. I doubt the engine could handle it.
Multiple primary sources suggest its possible wiht a full combat load
IMHO the worse radar than their counterparts is actually historical for the SU27 family. And this is coming from a SU27SM main.
can you provide one? I’m currently trying to find out myself but the only sources I could find is just people claiming here and there but no technical documentations.

thanks, Man! I’ll look it up.
That is true but this is still a game. I get we have to get more modern soviet/russian jets to be equal to the west but they shouldn’t just consistently leave them in the dust yknow
We’ll get our time to shine next year.
This is nothing new. Britain and Sweden were left in a FAR worse state than the soviets are in currently for an entire year before being caught up. Trust me, fighting Mig-29s in something like the Phantom FGR2 or Tornado F3 for most of 2023 was not fun.
I think its only been since June, with the introduction of ARH missiles that the soviets have fallen even slightly behind, and even then, the Su-27 still has a rather insane loadout, with the R-27ERs and R-27ETs still very potent and the R-77s perfectly usable after the inital volleys
I do think the R77s are still usable right now lol. I like it, it’s just the radar (perfectly acceptable since it’s the same in real life up to that time) that’s holding it back. The lack of a good radar should be fixed once gaijin adds the Su30 lineup.
and even then, most i’ve spoken to agree that just fixing this bug report would go a long way to helping the Su-27s

Oh, wow never actually knew about this lol. I just kinda accepted that my avionics is worse than it’s NATO counterparts and just got on with it. Thanks!
