thats not at all what happened actually, thread started with saying the 120 sucks at close ranges you said it was good enough at close ranges, people disagreed with that, you called the 120 a meta missile, and then when told that the meta missile is the mica you went on about how the 120 is really good in bvr and how it can hit people at really far ranges

And… how many times am I going to have to tell you that the current meta in Air RB is space climbing with high-altitude fighters with Aim-120s, but you continue to ignore that…
THAT is what makes the 120 the meta missile currently, it’s good enough in short ranges (again, if you’re firing an amraam below 2 miles then don’t expect it to hit.)
you somehow havent gotten it through that thick skull of yours that BVR isnt the norm or the most effective way to play
90%+ of kills are from 15kms or less, so a missiles performance at those ranges is much more relevant which is why aim 120 hasnt been meta since its AOA was nerfed

how about you play one and see that most of the kills come from close range shots

you know if close range wasnt the meta then SURELY the rafale which is like specialized for close range wouldn’t have you know the highest wr out of any rank 8 plane,

I could suggest that you did not play enough games on top-tier jets which carry AIM120A/B. Especially when you need to counter some OP jets like Rafale.
Using win rates for an argument is honestly pretty terrible… doesn’t really say anything about a specific airframe or missile.

also which 2 have what you have said is the best BVR plane (being f15e/i)
if BVR was meta they wouldnt have the lowest winrate

Are you seriously trying to pull the hardest strawman by using win rates as a metric… when win rates depend on how entire TEAMs perform…

It’s an incredibly long-winded metric… it’s like saying the T-90A is literally the best tank in the game because Russia has the highest win rate in GRB.
Because most ARB players were butthurt they couldn’t just multipath straight at people anymore and had very little actually defensive maneuvering experience.

And people still do it, and die to it all the time, it doesn’t matter if you can actually fight against it yourself, it only matters if it’s a good way of getting kills, because the combination of a Typhoon/F-15E and amraams was an incredibly survivable (to yourself) and deadly combo. Which is what made it meta…
