The close-range rudder effect and angle of attack of the AIM-120A&B air-to-air missiles should be strengthened

it seems everyone EXCEPT for you already knows the answer

Yeah, it’s time to leave him be with his delusions, you already proved him wrong and obviously started the backpedal lol

It seems that somehow everyone except you knows that the Mica loses a ridiculous amount of speed in turns… but hey, what do I know.

Not with how our little 1v1 went lmao

not alot evidently

Lmao, just wanting to argue as always.

You literally changed from ‘the most deadly ARH’ to

I think this is enough to backfire your entire ‘argument’ without further explanation.

Please tell me where I said this. I’ve only said that it’s the best in BVR engagements, not the best in everything.

Not enough to ‘backfire’ my argument if you’re pulling a strawman

“meta missile” huh

Also, you guys realise this post is about using the AMRAAM at short ranges, where I still stand by that it’s not suited for short ranges, yet for some reason you’ve all converted into a “what missile is better” throwing fest xD

The meta is space climbing in F-15Es and Typhoons, what other missile would you use?

well ur wrong so uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

We’re all seeing one version of 120.

So far, you’re the only one that sees the 120 as a sort of demi-god with extreme effectiveness for medium ranges, and your only argument was ‘duh missiluh is gud if you know what you are doing’.

In that case, The R-77-1 wasn’t needed, because the R-77 was good enough if you know what you’re doing. You know which missiles weren’t necessary either? ARHs for Russia, because you can kinematically compete against ARH missiles ‘if you know what you’re doing’ with the R-27ER. Look how dumbass that sounds like.

See, your entire point relies on skill, which is the ultimate argument for convenience and doesn’t answer a damn thing about other missile’s performance.

EDIT: reaction to this:

lol, lmao even. The Rafale is an unused game asset. And the Su-30 is a fake plane.

Because for some reason a couple of you were saying that the AMRAAM wasn’t meta in a standard BVR engagement and that the Mica would match it in performance, which is just factually wrong… and again, you’re pulling another strawman saying that “you think the AMRAAM is some sort of missile Demi-god”

Like bruh, how many times am I gonna have to ask you to point it out where I said that, do you think that I think the AMRAAM is better than the Mica in short ranges? XD

It’s just you who’s looking to argue, hell I was the only one even proposing to do tests, wanting to find answers, instead you want to argue and stroke egos on a forum…

thats not at all what happened actually, thread started with saying the 120 sucks at close ranges you said it was good enough at close ranges, people disagreed with that, you called the 120 a meta missile, and then when told that the meta missile is the mica you went on about how the 120 is really good in bvr and how it can hit people at really far ranges

And… how many times am I going to have to tell you that the current meta in Air RB is space climbing with high-altitude fighters with Aim-120s, but you continue to ignore that…

THAT is what makes the 120 the meta missile currently, it’s good enough in short ranges (again, if you’re firing an amraam below 2 miles then don’t expect it to hit.)

you somehow havent gotten it through that thick skull of yours that BVR isnt the norm or the most effective way to play

90%+ of kills are from 15kms or less, so a missiles performance at those ranges is much more relevant which is why aim 120 hasnt been meta since its AOA was nerfed

the meta is in no way space climbing or BVR

Maybe play an Air RB match and tell me how many people climb and fighting in BVR ranges…

how about you play one and see that most of the kills come from close range shots
