Why in the world is the buccaneer S.2B at 10.7 it has no gun and can see MIG-23MLs and with the current meta for base bombing is using napalm so most MIG-23ML players are bombing and this makes the buccaneer a pain to play, but honest to go who decided this thing was going to be 10.7 the only thing it has that the other 10.3 attackers don’t have is long range agms that are pretty much useless in air battles besides maybe sim gaijin really has to stop giving British vehicles higher br than necessary.

Honestly its funny seeing it sit above A-10A early or Su-25 in air battles with less CMs and no guns.

It’s enough fast with 9L so it really can’t go down. We can only wait for arb ec for these bombers to actually do smth
Sometimes I find it pretty fun to play. I take 2 9Ls an aj and 4x 1000lb. I shoot off aj at 30km and then throw 9Ls at mig23s as well as using the bombs in a base
The buccaneer is the aircraft that you play if you want to be reported for “passive behavior” because you keep running away. Because there is literally nothing you can do.

It could be at either BR.
It’s weaker defensively (less CMs) and turns worse than a A-10 but is faster than an A-10. It also has no gun which is quite major issue with how easy it is to defeat an Aim-9L with flares (though not all in a downtier have flares)
Also they aren’t something you will always take (I know I dont) so its even ahrder to truly justify being 10.7
I think it could be either without too much issue, but ARB is never a strong place for a bomber like the Buc S2B
If a BR change isnt possible, there are other possible buffs for the Buc S2B like Napalm (carry over from the Buc S2) or a Phimat Pod
I hope it doesn’t go down. All of the 10.3 missile lobbers need an increase in BR. They all make 9.3 horrible to fly and I don’t need to see MORE of these.
Why can’t the Buccaneer carry LGBs in the internal bay?
Genuinely one of the most painful stock grinds ive ever played. Downtiers don’t exist for it, you can’t outrun anything, and obviously you have no weapons aside from 2 entire 9Ls. Have fun competing with J-7Ds.

It is very potent in Air Sim, radar + 2x mid range pully missiles + 1 base = easy life
It is easy to fly in sim with mouse controls, look for guides on that. It is the only place to spade Su-22s without pain

Also saying its potent in sim is… something. You have the low speed performance of a brick that falls out of the sky.
Its really good for bombing ships and airfields though

I like it’s speed and stability at low level - as befitting the Buccaneer and its famous low level capabilities.
Low altitude at that BR is more important for an attacker than radar, I find.
Also: Now with the stronger SAMS, the Aj.168 actually have become useful to some extent to engage airfield defense form a safe distance…
