The BMPT

The BMPT in is one of the most frustrating and poorly balanced vehicles currently in the game. Its combination of survivability, autocannons, missiles, and overall versatility makes it far too effective compared to other vehicles at its BR.

What makes this even worse is Gaijin’s lack of logical balancing decisions regarding the BMPT. Despite constant complaints from the community, the vehicle continues to dominate matches with little to no meaningful adjustments. It honestly feels like Gaijin either ignores feedback or does not properly test how oppressive the BMPT is in actual gameplay.

The autocannons are especially ridiculous. They can endlessly spam shells that destroy barrels, tracks, optics, helicopters, and light vehicles within seconds. Even heavily armored tanks can barely react before losing critical components. Combined with fast ATGMs and excellent survivability, the BMPT has almost no weaknesses in many combat situations.

Another issue is how forgiving the vehicle is. A normal tank can become useless after losing one crew member or a critical module, while the BMPT can often survive multiple hits and still fight effectively. This creates an unfair gameplay experience where other vehicles are punished much harder for mistakes.

Gaijin also seems inconsistent with balancing standards. Other vehicles get nerfed quickly when they overperform, yet the BMPT remains extremely powerful for long periods of time. This gives players the impression that balance decisions are arbitrary rather than based on actual game health or statistics.

Instead of encouraging tactical gameplay, the BMPT promotes brainless autocannon spam and passive gameplay behind cover. It lowers the overall quality of top-tier battles and makes matches feel more frustrating than enjoyable.

The BMPT seriously needs balancing changes such as:

  • Higher BR placement
  • Reduced autocannon damage or fire rate
  • Worse survivability
  • Longer ATGM reloads
  • More realistic weak spots

At the moment, the BMPT feels less like a balanced vehicle and more like a premium power fantasy that Gaijin refuses to properly address.
