there appears to be an issue with the AJ168s on the Bucc S2.B for some reason unless you launch from directly above the target the missile completely misses the target.
My running theory is maybe its the new sea skimming mechanic since the AJ168 are technically anti ship missiles? that is my only thought on it since in the last game it seemed to dive to the floor and then tried to correct itself and overshot an easy stationary target
A) In your video you actually crit that Strela, even while you don’t directly hit it.
B) The AJ168 is an anti ship missile, not designed specifically to engage tanks, even while it may actually have limited use against them.

that is understandable but it did not stop him from being able to return fire and ultimately killing me
while I would agree with you, the accuracy leaves something to be desired, in the test range of 2 fired at the stationary Lubek one hit the funnel the other over shot the target

Your altitude is way too low for these missiles.

thats the issue the clouds started at 1200 meters so that was literally the highest I could launch them from lol, also does not help the max lock range of TV weapons is only 5km
Max lock range is definitely not 5km, I have locked from further quite often. Depends on weather conditions. Not to mention the pseudo lock after launch capability.
If it is cloudy you either need to find a gap in the clouds above the battlefield, which there almost always is or just don’t spawn it.
the max track range is normally around 5km anything past that and its always been a point lock and not a track lock

Untrue. I’ve been spamming the S2B for the last 2 weeks more or less so I know it can quite often get a track lock beyond 5km.
tell that to my last 10 games lol, I have no reason to lie about this, but I can only tell you what ive experienced
I’m not saying you’re lying, I’m saying you’re ill informed. It can acquire track lock beyond 5km given the correct weather conditions. Simple as that.
Time: 1400
Weather: Clear
Altitude: just under 900 meters
and you dont achieve a track lock until 4700 meters

so far the longest tracking shot I have been able to get in perfect conditions is 5.9km but that is like the max ive been able to get most are around if not less then 5km
never specified one you just said
and my counter argument is that at 4km the average was still 5km
pavespike is the only targeting pod the Bucc S2.B has unless you mean the actual TV camera of the AJ168 (which doesnt tell you the range)
then please show me some proof so far ive shown it cant all you have done is tell me im wrong
So let me get this straight:
- You’re intentionally flying at a suboptimal altitude that limits your range and makes it harder to get a lock
- You’ve already acknowledged that you can track lock beyond 5km even though you said 5km was the max before point lock
- You’re using the wrong pod
- You’re welcome to come get bombed by me in custom games because I know I’m right, hence my performance being significantly better than yours
so your ignoring my test at 4km good look on your part
I will admit I was wrong the max is about 5.9km so not much better the safe bet is 5km
again please tell me about this hidden pod on the bucc S2.B
So I take it you are not taking me up on offer to throw AGMs at you from 5km+?
I accept your concession then.
everything you asked, above 4km still don’t achieve track lock until sub 5km
You quite literally just admitted a few posts earlier that you were getting track locks beyond 5km.
I’m tired of your disingenuous arguments, get in a custom game with me or stop responding.
my guy im just saying what happened?? you can see it for yourself please do tell me what I did wrong this time Is it an imaginary pod maybe? maybe im still not high enough, oh I know it must be the weather there must be an even better condition then clear im so dumb
