The 2S38 should be reclassified from a light tank to an air defense system vehicle,as it was actually developed in reality to replace the Tunguska air defense weapon!

Lol.

are you forgetting ammo load, firerate and IRST range? or just pretending that these dont matter?

  1. Anecdotal
  2. Everything can oneshot anything

Ammo load only matters against aircraft after a certain amount, IR tracking only matters against aircraft not tanks, and fire rate after a certain speed also only matters against aircraft.

And since 2S38 is already 10.3 and not 9.0 or lower, it’s already well above the BR of its limited SPAA capabilities.

ammo load also matters when shooting leo sides or russian stuff where they just eat rounds same with firerate

and it should not stay at the br it is rn. (it eats alive anything that doesn’t have composite)

The fire rate of VCC-80/60 was more than enough to ammo rack a T-64 in the first shot, and second.
And everything else fires faster.

Right, but most tanks have to reload between shots, Its the only tank in the game that never has to reload

Not true, Namer 30 and HSTV-L (probably among others I’m forgetting) don’t have to either.

2S38 is pure russian bias.
-It must be at least at Br11.7 like the RDF/LT, the 2S38 is even better.
-Gets a double-belt mechanic altough there are 3-pre-loaded shells in the autoloader.
-Premium SPAAG (Exception for Russia)
-Gets an overheating indicator, but it`s bugged on purpose.

To be honest,when I play the Merkava 4M,I often get destroyed in one shot by the 2S38.Its upper limit is just too high.In the game,aside from Soviet tanks like the T-90M and T-80BVM,almost any other tank will be destroyed in one shot if its side is exposed.If you have bad luck,you will definitely be destroyed within three shots.What’s more,some tanks can even be destroyed in one shot to the front lower glacis.This actually deviates from its real-life role.In reality,it is supposed to be an anti-aircraft gun.The number of its armor-piercing rounds should be limited to turn it into a self-propelled anti-aircraft gun(SPAA)!

the 2s38 is NOT better than the rdf/lt after these buffs.

No.

@halkad1
2S38 is inferior to HSTVL in every way yet you come here with outright misinformation that it’s on-par? WOW… Just… wow.
It lacks the speed, gun, general mobility, ammo, etc because 2S38 is meant to get sales.

2S38 is not a SPAAG.
2S38 doesn’t have overheating, nor does HSTVL.

Saying it’s better in game, doesn’t mean it’s better IRL.

I’m 99% sure it’s classified as one IRL, and it can act as one in WT. However, it’s more balanced to have it as a light tank, due to the increased SP costs.

I can’t speak for the HSTV-L, but the RDF/LT doesn’t overheat. However, it makes no sense that a tank can fire 148 consecutive 57mm shells without overheating at all.

The 2S38 should be higher, just due to it having excellent firepower due to a fast reload and APFSDS, but it’s not an 11.3+ tank.

@Ion_Protogen
The 2S38 is already a higher BR due to the APFSDS, otherwise it’d be 9.3 at most.

And because of it’s high ammo count, fast reload, and decent APFSDS, it should be 10.7 or 11.0, especially when combined with it’s capability as an SPAA if it ever needs to. Do not deny that advantage, because even 9.3 SPAA capability is an advantage over something with none.

High ammo count only means something against aircraft.
I’ve still used less than 13 rounds of HSTVL ammo in every single match I’ve played it in.
I’ve still never even used over 20 rounds of 2S38 ammo in a single match, and the one time I did use 20 rounds was when it was 9.7.
