Last guy was a fair player.
The right attitude is to keep fighting, not hide behind AF AAA or run and waste time.
He wasn’t a good player maybe. But I appreciate his action.
Regarding the TK policy I’ve found a player because he uploads his achievements on youtube.
He spawns in a floatplane and proceeds to ram his teammates with his floats during takeoff/initial climb.
If he fails to do so - he rams his plane into them, or shoots them with guns.
I watched 20 of his battles from different days.
He did that thing in every single one of them.
He also slaughters his team with his squad. I reported him each time.
I think you know what I’m talking about.
And then I realised - he’s not getting banned, but his victims get crew lock and sometimes are treated as teamkillers themselves, because when they explode, it counts as an attack against the rammer.
It seems even shooting somebody with guns every 3rd game is not a problem.
This means he’s playing the game as intended, and those who get elliminated should get better at War Thunder!
So, guys, what do you think? Will you embrace the ramming-the-teammate meta? Or are you going to create issues for the part of playerbase who simply have better understanding of what’s this game is all about?
Rules seem to be clear. Cheating - punishable offence (and rightfully so). Getting rammed or shot by your teammate? It’s a fair game. You can choose to spawn a bit later, you can wait a bit before taking off, ger some speed instead of mindless climbing and DODGE.
I used to be really annoyed by this development. But then I realised:
It’s your own damn fault. Improve your take-off game, or suffer the consequences. Get better.
If you refuse? Enjoy the crew lock and repair costs.
The problem is nobody is reviewing teamkilling reports. It’s 100% handled by THE SCRIPT.
You can also ram people at will, since THE SCRIPT can’t tell if it’s intentional or not.
And to avoid serious punishments by THE SCRIPT you have to keep your number of TKs below certain number a day I guess. This number is probably damn high, and I’m not going to to try to find out, but some people have probably figured it out by now via trial and error.
You have to report them in the right methods… Through the server replay report, or by escalating it to the GMs with adequate evidence of how it’s happening (As in the video of the person glorifying thier actions on youtube).
I did. Trust me, I did both. And then, a month later he uploaded another video and it was not titled “I got banned, I hate gaijin”. But ramming is OK, since it doesn’t count as teamkilling (OK, your victim may be considered the teamkiller, shame on him for exploding!) and teamkilling is OK as long, as it’s not triggering THE SCRIPT.
According to some people, he’s not to be blamed since you should “blame the game, not the player”. My opinion differs, but does it even matter?
Kinda off topicish, but everytime you say this, all I can think of some sinister guy in a dark room laughing whenever he punishes the victim for something they didn’t do 😭😂
I kindly ask you to stop repeating this fact-free opinions over and and over again. Invest some time and you will see that reporting and intentional ramming attacks were discussed several times.
The issue with rammings is even more obvious - go to the bug report site and you will finds dozens of unprocessed reports describing the “wrong” allocation of team kills.
So currently your posts are objectively seen nonsense - and are lowering the quality of this thread.
To the real point, you may not see them being punished, but they should be being punished, and it needs to have more people make reports.
But reports of what they have seen firsthand, for that which is actually against the rules (Not airfield camping, or just literally spawncamping) or calling everyone to report things in unison make it detriment.
Videos of what you’re describing as finding, that’s to GMs via pms on the forums here.
I disagree. More accurate and proper reporting is what’s actually needed.
(Edit - Nothing about this is spam, so stop false flagging things)
I mean if the guys receiving reports (GMs) admit that they don’t interfere with the team kill auto-ban mechanic (=GM do nothing regarding tks) even a 3 year old toddler might come to the conclusion that you are flat wrong.
So with spamming this nonsense you simply waste everyone’s time.
curious why two team killers got a higher match score for shooting each other down …
let me explain…My fuel on my aircraft reset from custom to minimum, so spent the match hoping to bait, a head on then flying back to base…of crashing due to empty tanks.
two team killing bombers no doubt arging about what target they were going to bomb shot eachother down .
They got a team score of 135 each…
Myself that fired my guns twice hit nothing and spend my time refueling got nothing… Zero 0
While my score was deserved as I contributed nothing…the game rewarded them both for deliberately causing a negative impact on the team .
Punish teamkilling, especially harsh against teamkills that are not apologised and not accepted. Those are usually good indicators of bad faith and negligence. The responsibility of launching ordnances should be more strictly enforced. Only paid for half the repair and nothing else is a slap on the face to the victim.
Give a limited amount of TK before a temp ban, accelerated by unapologized and unaccepted TK. Give the victim full repair cost if not a bonus and let the TKer footing the bill. You can’t really exploit it for SL because the perpetrator will face a temp ban/potentially permanent ban before long. And repeatedly TKed exploiter shouldnt be hard to be detected. i.e. being repeatedly killed by new accounts on the same account.
Please remove the penelty for the first TK in sim if a player us sueing a captured enemy vehcile. Sweedish and German T80/T72, hind´s, Migs, shermans P47´s and all that stuff.
