Team killing policy - follow up thread

If I report while in a replay I accessed from the battle results screen, does it count?

@Necronomica and @Schindibee - your input as GM would be highly appreciated! Maybe you can repost this nice flow chart. Thx!

@AydanL44100 - imho everything related to team killing / griefing etc needs to be reported via the server replay site including a time stamp. Let’s wait for the GMs official response.

The way more interesting question is your understanding of “count”…

What I mean is, will it be paired with the match and not go to the “dead letterbox”

Let’s wait for their response! 👍😉

If it’s about gameplay related offences (Teamkilling, griefing, etc) then no. While the replay is the server version a report sent through the in-game complaint system doesn’t contain the needed data and logs that the report through the main War Thunder website does.

A guide on how to create a correct report for each issue can be found here: (How to properly report players and contact Game Masters!) (flowcharts at the top under the two spoilers).

IMHO the in-game complaint system needs an update, i’m working on suggesting some changes for it. The categories that can’t be used if sent in-game should tell you exactly that (as well as give a tutorial for how to send a report through the main War Thunder website) if chosen from the drop down in-game (each choice should come with a description of what the category is for) instead of letting players send those in-game complaints.

I saw in a closed thread (witch hunt) this quote:

Imho the fellow player scratches here a weak point within gaijin’s approach to deal with team killing: Loss of boosters.

The problem is obvious: A soon as boosters are bought with GE (=real money) the provider / seller offers and promises a boost of potential SL/RP income. This is ofc also valid for booster obtained via buying the BP.

If the same seller allows others (in this case friendlies by team killing) to take away this promised boost without providing the promised effect or reinstating the booster before the owner of the booster got robbed by forbidden actions (here killing of friendlies) he simply enriched himself without any return for the buying player.

At least in Europe most countries have rather consumer friendly customer protection laws which are punishing intended or not intended enrichment by offering a promise without delivering.

I addressed this in May/June 2023 in the customer survey (reaction to review bombing) as weak point towards gaijin; nothing happened so far.

my nuke just got rammed and the guy didnt get kill credit (meaning he gets to walk free)

I encourage you to contact customer support. Attach the server replay link as evidence that you did hot use guns, missiles or bombs to kill the friendly aircraft - and that you were rammed, not the other way around.

Asking in the forum in a kind of “open letter” is pointless - as gaijin is fully aware of this issue. Just search in this thread or on the bug report site for “ramming” and you will find a lot of similar cases. The bug report site had dozens of (unprocessed) similar cases.

So imho the only way to encourage gaijin to spend the money to solve this issue is to ask for a refund and restoring of eventually used boosters.

Have a good one!

thank you, but, unfortunately, i cant find the replay of this match, i have tried to find this match via wt replay by time played, but, i cant find it, this match lasted for 2 mins but yeah, wt replay is kind of useless in this situation of mine. so thats why i dont ask for a refund, but an update to solve the problem, i guess gaijin is going to ignore me.

The issue is imho that if gaijin is aware of this flaw and they don’t solve it there are just 2 logical conclusions:

  1. This ramming issue needs a hell of time (and money) to fix - and their devs have other priorities - or:
  2. The don’t care as the issue is rather rare and nobody ask for refunds of falsely charged team killing fines and for reinstating boosters

So if you (and others) ask for refunds and this might end up in getting a critical number they might change their mind…

Have a good one!

Didn’t they say they don’t deal with teamkill issues? Like if your account is banned for accidenct teamkill no matter by accident or not or System error they do NOT care at all.

I recommended to ask for a refund of a falsely charged team kill fine.

This is a pure economic topic. I described why this might make sense:

I got 2-3 years ago 3 times not counted “Mission maker” rewards, they did not change running task counters, but they paid out the 5.000 SL for each of those cases…

And now compare what you wrote based on what i had written before. You need to learn to read way more carefully otherwise you you waste the time of others.

I reported this exact issue (false TK) with replay, screen shots, and so on through the bug reporting system. I don’t think they care.

I was incensed because it happened in back to back matches. I double and triple checked to make sure I didn’t damage that friendly in any way. Much as @Flankyy said - it was a “jump scare” both times. I was maneuvering on a bandit and a friendly flew into my plane from behind my wings - i.e. he hit me and not the other way around.

Cannot see how I could possibly be held (solely) responsible for that BV-155 crashing into me. All because he and his buddy decided to take out the guy I was dog fighting =/.

Why does it cost 22k to teamkill a AI recron micro that flown straight in to my KH-29TD?

I have no idea mate!

He did accept the apologies does that mean I get no penalty for the Teamkill system?

As i do not teamkill on purpose or unintended (in general) i have zero experience if this “I apologize” and “I accept” actually works; maybe a fellow forum member or a GM can help here.

As i saw that @Necronomica is very active in this thread he might answer your question.

He said he is still finding out, as he isn’t very sure yet.

I saw this post and would to add something to think about:

  1. Depending on map and BR range you are playing your logic does not work. At prop BRs on some maps ai planes fly in groups of six aircraft unable to identify targets and are circling somewhere on the map. On other maps their actions prevent enemy ground ai units from completing their tasks.
  2. Damage on friendly units is considered in the friendly damage counter - u can test this by killing a few friendly ai planes or ai ground units - u will be kicked.
  3. I assume i still hold a record of killing the most friendly ai units in a single match as i dropped my payload of a B-18B blind in order to lose weight to dogfight an enemy interceptor - my bombs somehow managed to fall direct on the Cologne railyard - 30+ friendly train car kills kicked me immediately out of the match😂
