Team killing policy - follow up thread

I just needed a valve because it really made me angry. Such people do not belong in a computer game

Ok question as you can see the matchmaker kicked me for no reason, I have no TKs and if i did it would show my SL for the match as negative and show in with all the hits and whatnot. So was i just wrongfully kicked or did something else happen?

Post the replay link from the server replay site…

Although i think i may or maynot have pilot sniped the canbera as you can see he flies right in front of my sight as im shooting the MG

Congratulations, you got kicked out by accidentally turning friendly Nuke Canberra’s inner wing slighly yellow after he dropped the bomb. Shows perfectly how overzealously Gaijin protects them against teamdamage because large number of players never wanted nukes ingame and teamkilled them.

A link looks like that:

Gaijin Entertainment - Single Sign On

Cya!

wow alright thank you for the confirmation. this is dumb tho as we all know that there are people who actually tk a nuke and get no repercussions other than an SL penalty if even that…

Be me, decide to fly J7D for SL.

Get tked 3 out of 5 games by Orang outan slinging his shit without caring.

Gaijin, you NEED to make updated tutorial on proper launch protocols and drill into the heads of ARB tourists and shitters not to fire missiles near friendlies.

I had times when…

  • Enemy is capping and no friendlies are there
  • I send note to team “artillery to B”
  • 30 seconds later my team shows up, then gets hit (maybe killed) by the artillery I launched a while ago
  • then at end of battle I’m getting the huge SL penalty
  • even if they can’t understand my message they can still see the plume of orange smoke…

I don’t know if Gaijin patched out the Orange smoke for some players, but I’ve had 2x players over the last week that decided to drive into the ongoing artillery smoke/sound and which then teamkilled them.

The last was yesterday, and there was no one around or even near a capture point, but once it was being dropped, a squad of players in XT800s decided to bum rush the same capture point well after the arty was called in and one was teamkilled. They of course complained about me, even though this capture point was closest and normally most logical capture for the enemy from their spawn.

I’ve just concluded some players are just morons…

If you play ARB frequently you will soon realise most are morons;

Right as opposed to Air Arcade where everyone is a moron to the point where team killing has to be turned off.

Just remove team killing from RB game modes. This entire thread is pointless FFS. It is an artificially created problem.

When you accidentally teamkill someone, the silver lion… shall be 5000, the same as when you kill an enemy. 22k of SL is insane to the poorest War Thunder player… They gotta change the damn economy. Plane repair cost only about 12K on toptier. Low tier being 20k+ is ridiculous too.

If I report while in a replay I accessed from the battle results screen, does it count?

@Necronomica and @Schindibee - your input as GM would be highly appreciated! Maybe you can repost this nice flow chart. Thx!

@AydanL44100 - imho everything related to team killing / griefing etc needs to be reported via the server replay site including a time stamp. Let’s wait for the GMs official response.

The way more interesting question is your understanding of “count”…

What I mean is, will it be paired with the match and not go to the “dead letterbox”

Let’s wait for their response! 👍😉

If it’s about gameplay related offences (Teamkilling, griefing, etc) then no. While the replay is the server version a report sent through the in-game complaint system doesn’t contain the needed data and logs that the report through the main War Thunder website does.

A guide on how to create a correct report for each issue can be found here: (How to properly report players and contact Game Masters!) (flowcharts at the top under the two spoilers).

IMHO the in-game complaint system needs an update, i’m working on suggesting some changes for it. The categories that can’t be used if sent in-game should tell you exactly that (as well as give a tutorial for how to send a report through the main War Thunder website) if chosen from the drop down in-game (each choice should come with a description of what the category is for) instead of letting players send those in-game complaints.

I saw in a closed thread (witch hunt) this quote:

Imho the fellow player scratches here a weak point within gaijin’s approach to deal with team killing: Loss of boosters.

The problem is obvious: A soon as boosters are bought with GE (=real money) the provider / seller offers and promises a boost of potential SL/RP income. This is ofc also valid for booster obtained via buying the BP.

If the same seller allows others (in this case friendlies by team killing) to take away this promised boost without providing the promised effect or reinstating the booster before the owner of the booster got robbed by forbidden actions (here killing of friendlies) he simply enriched himself without any return for the buying player.

At least in Europe most countries have rather consumer friendly customer protection laws which are punishing intended or not intended enrichment by offering a promise without delivering.

I addressed this in May/June 2023 in the customer survey (reaction to review bombing) as weak point towards gaijin; nothing happened so far.
