You are clearly doing EXACTLY what moderation says doesn’t matter. You can not ARGUE with the fact that it is a PUNISHABLE OFFENSE, no matter the CIRCUMSTANCES.
So all of these “whataboutisms” are utterly meaningless, no matter HOW you view it, TEAM KILLING IS PUNISHABLE WITH A BAN.
Have you actually seen or been punished for accidentaly friendly fire, or are you being needlessly paranoid and disregarding words such as many, continous and clear noting that it’s for malicious activity?
Yes I have been removed from matches with a crew lock, twice I can remember off the top of my head. Once from a mid air collision another from a team mate diving in front of my cannons as I was behind an enemy.
Both times I was given a full 9 minute crew lock.
And again, everything you are saying, doesnt matter. The rule has been stated, the way you think it works, doesnt matter. If you need more information im more than sure a GM will be happy to help. A Game Moderator has spoken, told you its a bannable offense, no matter how different you think your accident is different from someone else. They are viewed and treated as the same offense, end of story. You bring up hypotheticals, but the only person using them here is YOU. Again, im not listing out whataboutism situations such as your “what about the sim players on reddit”.
???
Does this change what the GM said? Just because they didnt get banned, doesnt mean plenty of others dont. What you are explaining is a hypothetical, what im explaining is reality set in stone by the moderators and developers of this game.
This is getting truly silly, bringing up individual players like that represents an entire system, yet somehow trying to claim IM using hypotheticals.
If theres something you dont understand, reach out to a GM, im certain they will tell you exactly what I’ve said here as it comes from moderation themselves.
I think I said it earlier in this thread, but failed landing on the carrier after another aircraft had just landed - he had trapped the hook and was on the deck, I barely touched him as I landed just beyond him and then flew off the front of the boat (I was in a non-navy airplane and was damaged and too fast for my gear-up landing to succeed) - when I drowned, that guy I hit received credit for the TK.
Same outcome but this was unintentional. I don’t know how to “forgive” team kills (if it’s even possible) but I would have done so if I had the option (we should just get a prompt to “punish” or “forgive” if you’re team killed - and it should be buttons right on the kill screen).
Part 1:
Sorry man, but your first claim is not correct. Like seen in the replay the battle log said Lady_Etaksi has shot down playerXYZ. This results in a paying a team kill fee on top of the crew lock.
You will find dozens of bug reports describing this issue.
Part 2:
Teamkillers are constantly punished - just look at this post:
A number of 150+ teamkills in a few weeks and the punishment were some temp bans. There is no effective deterrence in place…
Regarding your second quote regarding EU law: You missed totally the point of the OP. As @Stona_WT asked to avoid discussions about local law i won’t elaborate further.
If you look around the forums you’ll see people complaining about being banned for 24 hours. I believe that’s the first level and the next one is 7 days - and it is all controlled through their algorithm.
yeah the fact a thread from 2023 is still openly discussing team killing is an issue shows how much of an issue it really is
like saying thank god a downtier, then some absolute twonk in an A10 deciding to shred me on lift off, level 13, purely salty cause he sucks at the game, ruins my match?
or if you kill someone, that another believes is their kill, TK its a fking joke
I think that is partly, because they have made so you can’t friendly bomb your own team, because I played one match where there where enemy tanks and a friendly tank just waltzed in at the last second. To which I said oh no… Then all enemies died, but no friendlies.
TBH I am someone who is addicted and I will honestly say I dread to see my bank statement this coming month…
I would like to quit War Thunder, but then the FOMO is real and I do enjoy the game, but TBH I know there is a limit wether its spending eagles all the time to deal with the new annoying vehicle events or just playing this game.
Gaijin should just remove team damage. It would make air realistic more enjoyable. Ground realistic more enjoyable. No one can team kill any more. There wouldnt be any abusers. Its now a game feature. A gameplay mechanic. It shouldnt have to be. Team damage never works in games. Its always open to abuse.
There’s a new way, they ram you and you pay the repair cost I don’t know how they make it so that the system thinks you rammed them, but this is the worst as it happens midgame not on takeoff in Air RB so someguy will shoot all their misisles and then ram you to avoid repair cost or early leave timer :/
