I fired like 4 rounds of Air targets mg151/20 (second burst, first one missed) and it cut the tail of that F4U-4 right off.
Mind you, the corsairs are quire tanky aircraft to boot, too.
Survivable bomber is the last thing that I want, bombers allready have the advantage over fighter granted they have good aim, I dont want them to be even more cancer

Depends on the game mode.
In ASB, bombers get third person view with three-plane stabilized gunners. This is independent of the actual aircraft so just because B-25s may have had such advanced guns, it applies to all of them. Some people use certain bombers to gunship people and getting rid of them is very difficult when flying with stick and rudder from first person view.

Have you tried using the machine gun? If you actually try to fight back and not just fly directly to the base while taking pot shot at enemies, you will find bombers to be very effective at taking out other player
Depends on the bomber. Some have great coverage, others great guns, some have both, some have neither.
Something like the Halifax or Lancaster can’t really do anything other than minorly inconvenience an attacker
I have, they all get fucked up convergences you can’t adjust and you NEED to be good at aiming to get anything done before the fighter points and clicks at you.
Almost every single bomber has the capacity to kill or force a fighter to go back to base,
People think their weak because no one puts the same ammount of effort in learning how to aim with a bomber than aiming with a fighter
and all the fighter player needs to do is think about turret coverage and they can remain totally and completely safe from the bomber
On late war B-17’s.B-24’s,and B-29’s had something to help the gunner lead the target as the the B-17 the K-4 and K-3 Gunner sighs and for the B-24’s and the B-29s central fire system but for some reason gaijin wont add any assisted aiming even if it was a thing but its whatever
imo, thats not even that big of a deal, its the artificially induced weapon spread for most turrets and dealing with the paralax caused by the angle. Removing that weapon spread and allowing for first person aiming of turrets would be a notable and yet fair buff

forced third person aiming just screws you over by constantly changing your paralax.
But most bombers don’t struggle reaching a base, people just say bombers can’t reach bases because they don’t even try to climb or avoid obvious interception paths, the real problem comes after the bomb drop, bombers don’t like dropping +5km of altitude to rearm and then try to make another run while slow, slow and probably hunted down from +10 minutes of descent beforehand.
We don’t want a bomber to remove too much tickets at one pass, people will complain about it, Instead make them a passive ticket drainer by making them reload midair. It could go like this:
1- You spawn
2- choose a smart route to your target
3- Keep wary of your surroundings
4- approach and drop your bombs on target
5- turn back
6- fly all the way back to a mid-air rearm point
7- repeat
fighters/interceptors/air defense will ensure air superiority and hunt down bombers if they wish early on.
Strike planes will be a super risky but aggressive ticket drainers. (i’d say a rework for AI target killing too, since it pays like probably less than the bomb you used to kill the damn howitzer)
Bombers will start as slow ticket drain. Since most bombers can only destroy 3-4 bases max and 1 base drains as much tickets as 2 trucks or howitzers.
This does have one flaw though, usually if you take a more defensive route, there might be nothing left too bomb. Its a major flaw at all BRs, but really felt at the lower BRs.
maybe if bases didn’t take like take like 7 minutes to respawn would be nice.
most normal battles bases respawn around 12 minutes left on the clock.
that or jsut make the forward AF into a modular AF like we have in ASB, though a total overhaul of how bases work would be nice, a lot of really good suggestions for this previously submitted. Even just mini versions of the deep strike event. They could make them far more engaging and dynamic targets, whilst also fixing the major gameplay flaw
But yeah, even just reducing the interval from 5 minute to 3 would be pretty huge too
We can even add an “ammo depot” module, destroy it and no more AA.
Yeah, though if it was the forward AF, it doesnt have those anyway. But Im interseted to see how SEAD is going to be incorporated into ARB/ASB (if it is)
Tornado GR4 with 7x ALARM could be quite an interesting thing to unleash in ARB on the enemy AF (though less relevant for bomber tiers)
I got one tapped in my B-29 by 30mm today. Apparently a superfortress, not sure what gaijin cooking up here.
