Tail-Controlable planes written off due to severe

Why destroying stabilizers = severe? The elevators can still be connected and can control the plane still

honestly, I don’t understand why gaijin restricts severely damaged aircraft from repairing. if it got to the helipad/airfield, it should be repaired, unless it got blown up completely. but i will refrain from posting it as a suggestion because dozens of ground-only players would come to complain.

edit: grammar

Nd thats why you CAN still repair if you manage to get back to the AF, but in case the match is over but you are still in the air then you get kicked out of the plane due to Severe Damage

and sometimes you cannot. i had experienced this, like yesterday - “your helicopter is critically damaged repair is not available”. or are you talking about specifically jets?

In case of Helis i am not sure with Severe damage, but the Crit repair is also very based from your crew you are having

I have aced crew, repair and restock is 10 seconds for me.

This topic is about ARB only. ;-)

That one is more a secret and gradual nerf to airfield which is never written in dev logs, separated from severe. AF ground crew were capable but then they got nerfed soooo much

Best part is this isn’t even a “well, it’s only not Severe because instructor makes it inconsequential.”

Even without instructor black stabilizers do not cause any significant impediment (at least in japanese props and bf109s) to count as severe damage when an entire missing 49% wing doesn’t.

Seriously.

Cut off a wing that for some reason doesn’t qualify as “50%” (surprisingly common on swept wing and twin boom aircraft) that sends it spinning helplessly out of control - critical damage.

Blacken the stabilizer as the plane flies like nothing happened: severe damage.

I just love when I send a plane into a flat spin and get only a Critical hit, just so it could be stolen by someone nearby.

And even more annoying, if you want to finish him, you only get hits.

There are many more “bugs” causing issues.
A10 irl has a triple redudant control system. 2 hydraulics and one cable.
But if you lose on elevator, the plane is uncontrolable
