Exactly, theres some tanks with more rediculous shell’s at the same br
which is why i want the T-80U-E1 to get the 3BM60 at 12.0 since:
- it would bring it more in line with other 12.0s
- 3BM60 is not even that powerful there are much better darts at that BR range

You will encounter several problems.
- Overpower premium tank in Soviet tech tree
- Complain in forum about the T-80U-E1
- Nobody would research the T-series anymore witch such power verhicle in 12.0 for Soviet Union.
And great gun handling found on the BVM and 11.7+ T-72s, it shouldn’t be close to the tt T-80U because it’s better in every way
only in horizontal tho, still has the same terrible vertical speed as other T-80Us
Horizontal is the more important metric here
i would say vertical is just as important imo when trying to get snapshots on to weakspots of other MBTs in CQB
Given they are very low to the ground, weakspots are more visible to begin with, a leopard 2 or merkava with 5° VTS would be far more detrimental than the T-80Us VTS is
true its easier for them to deal with since they are already low to the ground compared to nato tanks, but still is a negative to overall
Better thermals really mean nothing. The most meaningful improvementsin top tier tanks are better shells, reload speed buff, turret rotation and gun elevation speed, max speed, engine power, Active protection etc. Better thermals just give you slightly better resolution, but functionality is just the same.
I just compared the 2. If yo uask me Type 90 should remain on same BR as T-80U-E1 should have.

I compared the 2 on a bare bones scale of what they have and lack. Type 90 is fine at the BR its at
UE-1 is fine at 12.0 (UE-1 can tank a round or 2, Type 90? refer to my imagee above in this post everything goes through it)
Someone got a premium T-80U-E1 and can’t kill poor 10.7 tanks anymore, E-1 has superior pen/atgms, etc. so if you’re mad about your premium being moved up please research before posting
Then why T-90A at 11.0 and T-72B3 at 11.7 both have 3BM60? Then why T-80U-E1 at 12.0 shouldn’t have it?

Most likely it’s lacking something the UE-1 has (Reverse speed and turret traverse)

Type 90 if you shove it at 12.0 it’ll be stuck with DM33 effectively having the WORSE pen next to the challenger’s stock shell

T-90A → 20.4 degrees
T-72B3 → 34 degrees
T-80UE-1 → 40 degrees
Actually, yes, they would because T-80BVM at 12.7 is still way better than T-80U-E1 even with better shell and a great upgrade worth researching and playing. T-90M is also way better, but not comparative because it’s purpose is different.
also note premiums are supposed to be a monitised incentive to grind a tree more efficiently, not meant to be a replacement of the tech tree
