yes, but why does that matter? it’s the same point case as the j7w1, it has four of the best 30mm prop guns in game and yet the plane is a monstrosity. Su30 same thing. This ain’t stuff like 9.7 where harriers would slap mig19s even if mig19s were the best flying performers, just because harrier has 20g missiles and mig19 has no flares and no missiles. This is top tier 4.5gen RB where anything that is not an eurocanard (eurofighters and rafale) is utter bodoh babi.
Wild people can complain with this type of stuff.
Honestly I don’t really see a problem with the engines, I mean you won’t be a F15E and be able to blast into the stratosphere in 0.5 seconds, but I mean it’s still a pretty good plane.
Were people expecting the 30SM to be on par with like Su-37 or Su-35?

In top tier missiles are literally one of if not the most important things. I don’t know what reality you live in where this isn’t the case.
Heck in sim top tier missiles and radar are basically the only weapon

im honestly struggling to see how theyre justifying the upcoming engine buffs, the capabilities of the al13fp are very well known.
what i see in top tier is mostly people flying to stratosphere and indiscriminately flinging all their amraams off without defending, then of course they get slapped. I always launch one ARH at altitude at a target that seems to be the most oblivious, then defend and circle around while keeping missiles to my side, slowly turning and notching, turning and notching until i get into the center of the map and launch missiles from 10 to 15km away at isolated areas with one or two people.
such a weak missile, on such launch a aim120 would struggle to turn in let alone reach these speeds.

Literally the way to defeat r77-1s after their booster is gone in 20km launches is simply turn a little, the aim120 is SUPERIOR at tracking. The R77-1 is dogshit, period. You don’t even need to notch to make it turn away to the opposite direction.
Everything else that is not an eurocanard is utter garbage by a long margin.

its not its just less draggy, bu r-77-1 achieves much faster speeds which allows it to match aim120a/b in range.
the aim120 is indeed superior at tracking precisely because it actually does comply with BVR, it still reaches targets beyond 15km away and does good at tracking stuff between irregular terrain. I’ve had my r77-1s kinematically defeated from 10km away. And yes r77-1 is faster than aim120 if both are launched at the same time, flying straight and with the launching platforms going at the same speed, literally 1 second of advantage for the Vympel over the Raytheon. However, the su30sm is never going to achieve any speeds near which the r77-1 is even going to match connection as an aim120 does.

main drawback of the R-77/R-77-1 is going to be that drag and poor energy retention, R-77-1 atleast addresses the issue partially with small reduction in drag and more powerful motor, still has the poor energy retention affecting it. but it trades it in for good HOBS and maneuverability
the missiles could do with an improved drag model to be a bit more accurate, like how the AIM-120A/B can get its fin aoa improved

I don’t have videos of this yet because windows recordings fill 1gb each for just 5 minutes that aren’t even recorded until the moment i press “record” but a total net of ten minutes earlier instead. Tried to fix it to no avail. Also since I no longer commit to these type of launches I can’t show it either.
R77-1 will definitely hit anything 3km away from it that is not multipathing.
Oh, but I do have source for an AMRAAM hitting me within multipathing zone after pulling almost 90 degrees… from 2km away launch.

he cant cause he knows its either bs, ive taken extremely close range shots only possible with r-77, r-77-1 and mica on many occasions, hell ive shot r77s at a hot target less than 4km out HOBS and killed.

It’d gettting thrust increase because it’s getting emergency mode thrust which I advocated that it shouldn’t get
