You can pre-flare so that the IR seeker never activates during any stage of it’s flight, making dodging easier.
It can be Preflare, but it will hit you 90 precent of the time taking into account that your a subsonic strike aircraft.

It’s very easy to defeat an IRIS-T provided you’re aware of his existence and have flares
How are you flying? You can pre-flare, go behind terrain and maneuver, the radar loses lock so can’t course correct and flaring prevents IR seeker pickup and maneuvering prevents GNSS/IOG from being correct.
In match, the second you will spawn u will met up by multiple IRIST, launching from differnet angles, different positions and YOU WONT know where are they or which angle.
