SU-33 Balance Discussion: BR Adjustment and R-77 Missiles

Yeah, 9l is only better than the second worst missile at 13.0, the aim 9p. lol. What was gaijin cooking with these ir missiles at this high of a br

I’m referring to arb where even the average player has mostly figured out how to avoid these

It’s twice as funny because they only showcase mock-ups of weapons at MAKS.

Why would you show live weapons at an expo?

It doesn’t matter the country because showing live weapons is just a huge security risk

What do I have to do with it? The discussion was about proof of the missile’s existence — I have no idea why he brought up the displays at MAKS.

“It’s hilarious that they remove any and all explosives and priming devices from weapons of destruction!”

Aren’t you bright.

You know there are such things as inert missiles right?

why would you display a inert missile
are you guys crazy

inert missiles are still dangerous they still have a solid fuel motor which is just a fancy way of using an explosion for propulsion

What the hell do you think inert missiles means?

you know that there are inert missiles just without a warhead for testing purposes

Inert missiles generally means a missile without warhead or motor, but with electronics and seeker, for training purposes

you might even call it a mockup then

A mockup wouldn’t have many, if any, functional bits and is made purely to look like whatever missiles it’s representing. An inert missile is an actual missile with warhead and motor removed and filled with sand or concrete

and please tell me why it would be a good idea to have that instead of a mockup

Idk, to show off seeker bits or something? And to give more detailed showing of missile

so you went in this conversation just for the sake of arguing with me

Just saying, there are other options to show weapons than mockups, I’ve been to airshows and seen inert weapons on display, that is why I mention them

Mockups pose less risk and are cheaper

you dont know if or how sombody will damage it

Of course, I didn’t mean to suggest that they might showcase non-existent weapon prototypes at exhibitions. I mean, they would never do that, right?

Spoiler

Anyway, if you don’t have any solid proof about the R-27EA, just stay quiet. You clearly made a fool of yourself with the MAKS exhibition talk.

Mockups pose less risk and are cheaper

Not always. Converting a missile into an inert one by replacing (or just removing) the warhead and motor is always quicker than building a mockup.

you dont know if or how sombody will damage it

That’d also apply to the aircraft itself on exhibit, and yet air forces all prefer to fly in real airframes only protected from the public by a small fence.
