Su-27 never dominated on its own.
It came out with F-15s which were a bit stronger.
On top of that Su-30SM is not outclassed for air RB and air sim, and definitely not air arcade.
Maybe it was due to lower skill on average of USA players but I almost never struggled with how to fight F15’s but Su 27’s would consistently give me a hard time to fight. I just remember hating having to fight a J11, Su 27, or Gripen but wouldn’t worry that much about F15’s.
Hence why the F15A sat at 12.3 while the jets.of the same class, e.g gripen and su27 went to 12.7
It should be.
Just like 30SM should be competitive at 14.0.

Not to forget the Gripen that released with the original Su-27 which was quite dominant.
Back before Fox 3s and Aim9M couldnt be flared.
Yep, I mentioned the Gripen as that dominated when the base Su-27 was introduced.

Agreed but since then they nerfed BOL countermeasures efficacy and 9Ms can easilly be flared now

AIM-9Ms could always be flared, the knowledge on how to do so was up to you. 9M flare resistance has not changed since introduction.
And Fox-3s were easier to notch and chaff prior to changes.

Nah 9ms were always flareable even defyn covered it, tbh magic 2s were always the unsung hero of irccm missiles.

it was a better m4k which was at 12.7 it was always under BR’d since its stats were terrible despite it being like the 3rd best FM with 4 great and 4 alright missiles

i got the F15A after the 15C had been released, and it was still unbelievably easy to fly, people bring the stats down and then cry its bad.
Just ignore him, I quickly figured that out

You forget the multitude of ahistoric nerfs to Gripen because major nation players cried, the ahistoric changes to bol that shafted everyone, etc
And even with those nerfs it still dominated for roughly 6 months and was still highly competitive for multiple more months after ARH missiles were added.

Maybe It just Brits and Swedish pilot being better than most major nation that why it need nerf
lost count how many time I encountered SU-27 and F-15 coming to dogfight my Gripen knowing to well how it gonna end
