I’m not saying Warthunder’s grind is fine, I’m saying he makes no sense by saying “pay to progress” isn’t a thing. It is in fact a thing and you just can’t deny that

AIM-120 is one of the best Fox-3? Don’t even need to play the US to know that’s untrue
It literally is? Please tell me a better fox-3 for long range lol
ah misread then my bad
For long range, AIM-120A/B is better for maneuvering targets but the R-77-1 isn’t far behind, I think the AAM-4 is slightly better due to speed?
For every other range, AIM-120 is decent. R-77(-1), AAM-4, PL-12 and the forbidden MICA are all much better in every statistic. Don’t get me wrong, the AIM-120 is a great missile but “one of the best” is not how I would define it. AIM-120Cs are pitiful and AIM-120A/B are only slightly better at long range and noticeably worse than most Fox-3s in every other range.
Also want to say that I’m not here to say Su-30MK2 is pay to win, I don’t see it as an issue personally.
R-77-1 are not at the BR that the comment was talking about though. (which I thought your comment was referring to)
True (neither is AAM-4) though the PL-12 is. The R-77 is still better in most statistics. The F-16A ADF is not very good at BVR (low CMs) so where the AIM-120 has the advantage over the R-77 and PL-12 is not really seen from the ADF.
Dude didn’t say it was bad he said it’s not the best and he’s right this ain’t new info
chill out, its just a downtier nothing suprise here.
Just Gaijin milking their premium vehicles, nothing to see here.
T58 is yet another example of this.
and i said almost the best
I do admit I was horrible at Air up until recently, where I’ve gotten a bit better. I’ve never claimed to be a good player, at most just decent.
The Gripen has been the vehicle I’ve been using a lot recently, I got it from a negative KD to a positive KD (1.25~), and I use 4x AIM-120s + 2x 9Ms. That obviously doesn’t mean much but it shows I’m not as inept as I used to be!
I also didn’t say anything along those lines… I just said the AIM-120 is not one of the best Fox-3. It is not bad and doesn’t need a buff (atleast AIM-120A/B), but it is not near to the best. It is certainly the best long-range Fox 3 but is meh at medium range and bad at close range.
See my reply here for reasoning
holy lottery win
Aim120 is substantially better than R77 in every scenario bar extemely close ranges 3-7 km
What? The platform itself is fantastic its a block 15 F16 which is lightwr than the C and D variants with access to amraams.
The Kfir C10 is worse FM wise and i have only 2 ARH on it.
I can finish a match with countwr measures left with 72.
The F16s get what 60? Which is fine…even 45 would be enough, you just have to position properly
As far as I’m aware, AIM-120 is better at long range, they’re similar at mid-range and R-77 is better <10km
Doesn’t make it good at BVR. The C is much better at BVR now with the thrust buff, the A is better within close-mid range, where the R-77 is better or similar.
Hence why i said 3-7 .
10km gives them time to dodge it or prepare for it.
77 1 is a huge upgrade on the base 77.
The lighter air frame still makes it more maneuverable in comparison to the C and D variants.
Which in fact does help in BVR allowing to lose less speed while cranking and or nothing.
As well as this the 16adf sits lower than the 16C, it fights more targets which have no access to ARH missiles.
The 16 block 15s with amraams seriously shook up the rosters a lot.
12.7 is nearly impossible to get a match against peers with comparable missile sets and or platforms.
Yes it’s pretty bad
In the 30mk 2 case it is very very pay to win, has definitely come in way under-tiered.
