Let me start this off saying Su25sm3 should be LOWER in br than su25 T
Its air to air capabilities are worse than of the su25t, it has only 2 missiles that are lacking when launched from a subsonic platform, the su25t has the vikhrs and r60m’s to help it, irl the sm3 has jammer pods on its outer pylons but these are not modeled in game, either implement them or lower its BR, there is zero reason for it to be this high, it should be 11.3 if not lower
And the su25sm3 is not the only example of a ground attacker being too high in br in air rb because of it being good in ground rb, what about su24? What about F111F?
Su25sm3 has better optics than su25t, more powerfull ground weapons(only just kh38s in my opinion), and has MAW whereas su25t dont(you can argue that it has a irst jammer but it struggles against modern missiles).

Should it be lowered? Then its exclusive weapons (Kh-38M missiles) should be removed, you can still set its missiles to bomb bases, which if I’m not wrong would be faster than any other striker jet you’ll find. Su-25T and Su-25TM features similar weapons with exceptions to the 9K121 which can be used as air-to-air weapons but are very gimmick, you won’t get a kill consistently every match with it.
None have an Air battle rating influenced by GRB, seperate BRs for ARB and GRB exists.
The issue is a combination of compression, how Gaijin “balances” ground attackers in Air Modes and fundementally poor gamemode design.
Few ground attacker aircraft at any BR are in a healthy state currently.
F-111C/F though are probably appropriately placed at 11.7 within the current compression given their half decent CM loadouts and 6x Aim-9L fits and high top speed. They do belong 0.3 higher than the Su-24 and Tornado IDS.
I dont think the Su-24 should go down either, and tbh, the Su-17/22s (with high CM counts) probably could be 11.3, otherwise all ground attackers should drop down 0.3 more.

But the ground BR and air BR are separate? su25sm3 is 12.7 in GRB, why is it 11.7 in ARB? The optics of better missiles won’t help against a f18
9K121 are way more reliable than you think, I had 4 kill games with them
11.7 with r73? So what, su25T has r73’s at 11.3, and more
also the r73 on a slow platform like the su25 is not that good, it spins out often and doesn’t get much inertial energy
