you were totally unfortunate when you said that the game is not sniper, if you have no influence, it just showed that you are one of those who just want to press the W and that’s it, since many vehicles are not close combat, now if you can make any vehicle penetrate the other head-on, then I agree with you, but then I play WOT and not WT.
I was a NA Super Tester for “the other game”, so I know very well how things “work” over there…

So… Back on Topic…
Well, lots of posts and opinions of many different perspectives. Yet the bottom line is: many are happy about the game as it is and many are not. Yet still the game forces the other many to play the style of many that they dont like. That goes from the bad map design and no missions whatsoever to the “zero choice” of how i want to play and where, like chosing maps i like. The “devolution” of maps has come to a state they dont feel only bad for many vehicles they also look redicolously unrealistic.
U need just use your binoculars and peek above an elavation. If there are houses you can only see roofs or the second level, i you look along roads u can see 50meters, it goes weirdo like up and down, some roads around citys even look completly unuseble for citizenz outside of war because they changed so much of the terrain by adjusting elevations, creating ditchches that the surroundings simply doesnt fit anymore in the map! humens tend to chose thier places wisely when settle down or building a village and citys.
No one would put thier houses where hills are so close to the windows that no light will ever shine into them, that they watch on a freakin grassy knoll the rest of thier lifes when there is a beautyful mountain view or forest. Espiecially having a road on it where every driver can watch into the 2nd leve of the house.
not to mention the way how you angled those hills, theyre not slightly or smooth 90% of them have an angle where u cant even use them hull down becaue the most vehicles down have enough gun deprsssion!!! <--------and this is the worst part of all!
10 years ago the map looked at least some how logic but what i see now is just “press w and click” when u made it through al the ditches and valleys and finaly spot somone right in front of you.
They completely destroyed fundamental mechanics and traits of tanks by :
A=Hose-like maps, meaning ABC objectives stealing the possibility to flank with light vehicles because placed horizontally mostly insteat of beeing A only in the middle or vertically ABC, leaving enough space to the sides. Also if only 1 bobjective on the very same map they restrict the sides for flanking and make it effectivle smaller
B= Placing Spawns in a way once the enemy has the objective they can shoot into the spawn and prevent a counter, espiecially by having no options where to spawn, just 1 in many cases…on a flat plane with no cover. not to mention heli bases where u have to spawn 10km away simply not to get shot down right away when chosing the nearest one. Doing this results u get intercepted by a jet that swarm around like mosquitos these days ot you simply come too late and the battle is over before you even did sh+t with that heli.
U gotta get the spawn points first, then spawn and fly like 5 minutes, find cover and when finaly see somthing the battle is over, if you werent shoot down by a pantsir already at 20 km…
Why dont they look in to war scenarios from real life and copy some operations in specific areas where different vehicles were needed and had a specific role? How can they talk about “realism” when there is no such thing other than in the ballistics,weight, armor, horsepower and whatsoever in the vehicles when the whole setting doesnt even allow 80% of this stats to shine in different playstyles?
Its beyond me how this game is simply watched about to die…
Maps in WT just feel like CoD. Only differences with cod ground war and wt are the damage models and no infantry. Tho even ground war maps are larger.
I wonder when we get perk like mechanics to WT… Oh wait they already tried to add such.

I am entirely committed to saying that THIS needs to happen, we need BIG maps, BIG 64 Vs 64 game modes that last hours, and have multiple objectives and a attack/defense system.
WHY don’t we have that yet?
So much untapped potential just RIGHT infront of you, People already love playing the tanks and such in Hell let loose, Post Scriptum, HELL even Battlefield 5.
All of these games have a LARGE Operations gamemode that can last HOURS if both teams are competent.
And people WANT this, look at the Community events people do, like the Battle of Britan ones, or The Dunkirk one that Content Creators are part of every year.
Yall just… You don’t have a clue what to do.
even when you have TRIED To do this, with the D-Day even a few years ago, you shoved it on a TINY map in Arcade mode, making it Trivial for The Allies to just get farmed by Panthers and Tigers.
I actually feel you’re well off point, so much so that you’re pouncing on someone who’s being targetted because they are a mod, compared to actually paying attention to what was said, elsewhere, in a different context.

i mean it does work that way. the 10 minute esports slugfests. But i totally agree with heavytanker. it would also work awesome with a much larger operation gamemode, with commanders maybe organizing squadrons ordering them which flank to attack (like post scriptum or hell let loose). even all the arty would have a spot there to work as proper arty. and reconnaisance to find out where arty and cas should strike. because the maps would be too big to find targets from up high. IT IS ALL ALREADY THERE. just not the maps or the gamemodes.
imagine a map like the mad max event where both teams start on one edge of the map and you have to capture bases in between which then serve as respawn points and you have to push the enemy team back over the course of 1 or two hours. you can leave and join anytime and respawn infinitely. id love that. like in naval ec
Some experienced or command dedicated players could organize where to defend, where to attack, where to flank and someone else could do the same for cas and cap. that would be so cool man

Id absolutely ADORE the chance for me and friends to play our Black Prince’s in the way that thing was designed to be used, Assaulting Towns, and villages, using its immense armor to just shrug off enemy fire and push into important positions.
HELL imagine using A heavy tank push like that to root out a Squadron of Tank Destoryers providing overwatch for a town, previously knocking out a armored push.
KINDA like The Movie Fury, that assault on the hedge line full of Pak-40s, But with Heavy tanks and Something like Jagdpanthers or Jagdpanzer IVs.
This also would help give a place for some of the Recon tanks that Gajin don’t want to add due to them not having a place. Like the Luchs.

Yeah you could have a mechanic like setting up a spawnpoint or lets say you have to capture a nearby trainstation which then lets you spawn the otherwise too slow really heavy stuff that would struggle with the extreme distances on such maps. you would need proper tools for commanders to call out pushes of sneaky enemies like marking enemy positions in treelines where they try to ambush your replenish routes and you would have to find those positions with counterrecon. that gamemode could be so much more tactical than armored call of duty that we have now
maginot line and big maginot line is now the full CQC map thanks to the last update the middle part terran changed and easy to reach the spawn camping houses key point between the small hills… basically as i see the mappers and/or roadmap writer work hard to destroy the old map concepts and create more can**r and worst map design than before… basically i give up to play with top tier tanks because two type of game exist: try to survive in the middle of the field where no cover or CQC maps… boring and harmfull…
the thing is in gajins team are smart people when it comes to coding models/balistics/graphics/physics but they aboslutly lack imagination how create an enviroment/setting where all this models have thier role. The stupidity is easy to illustrate: in a competetion place 1 sumo together with 1 judoka in a locked toiled and expect each time a different outcome despite the fact its clear who will win all the time. Insteat changing the location of the fight they keep creating more sumos and judokas…
