Pretty sure one of the main reasons they removed those spots was because people didn’t play the map, and just CONSTANTLY sat there every single time. Basically instead of boring camping spots, they want us to try new things. I personally think that’s an improvement.
People did play the map how they preferd it now gajin is forcing a playstyle they dont like. Fun is relative.

You would think The decline in battles would make them start listening to the player base.

And what can try a light tank on a flat map against armored if nowhere to hide and scout/shot ?
Did you already try to face a T-80 or Obj 292 with a CV9040 at 1km ? A Strv 74 vs a Tiger II ? A Bradley vs a Leo ?
Even though it is squished I bet you that most still stuck to a spawn to cap route. Yes there is even less room bit people won’t generally even fill out that.
The majority changed is all, players did not want anything but the fun from simplistic engagements.
Just ask the players in matches when you are the only one not lemming training/they all rushing to a close cap as if that helps for 20 players to be in one spot. What I learned was I was now a massive minority trying to get more out of it than a wham-bam-thankyou-mam shooter (yes it is a shooter, but I waa always able to avoid just being in a homogenous brawl and cqc camp group.
Only made it to 8.0ish but most BRs seemed to follow this same pattern. You can’t fault a company from focusing on a majority when it os a business and not a passion project (maybe initial air was).
If whole team sat there than its easy win for other side. If some players sat there without doing anything useful they should let them sit there if they wont. Its their loss.
Point is those spots could be used to gain advantage in main target of the game which is terrain control. Without terrain control one team cannot capture and keep cap point(s) long enough to win. And since average WT players have tactical/situational awareness of dead cat they removed those spots.
They just gonna slap “holiday season” on this and dont care since premiums sells good
A prime example of why conquest should be completely removed in my opinion.
Abandoned Factory is where I notice this the most. Every single game a large majority only goes A, even though that is the most exposed route. Even then, they don’t capture the objective, they just sit around it.
Happens every time. I can usually cap C all by myself because reds are doing the same thing.
And they did it again…
- Carpathians — a position behind the spawn points in squares G3/G4 from where players could fire from a safe position over a long distance have been blocked.

That here shows how out of touch you devs are from your own game
This spot was easly contered even from the spawn tank there is so visible its besicaly free kill Also that was the way to counter hill. You just made north side instant win like you did with Sinay one side is now isntant win.
Stop removing/redzoning map features/spots/etc this is not the way to balance game.
If you want map for dumb players made them 2sq arena as additional game mode.
God this game is going downfall so badly now… wth happen and who is responsible for all this terrible changes…???
As I don’t see Karelia from more one week now, I guess we can be prepared to another “massive destruction”!
Anyone mad about that change is just mad that they can’t access an OP spot anymore.
It allowed you to shoot at players right at the start of the match, and many of those players were just leaving spawn. The other spawn had no effective counter to someone hiding behind a rock.
Why tf do people think every map change is bad??? Even the ones that remove OP spots are bad because “muh sniping (camping) spot”
Op spot??? Do you even play this game??? you are visible from enemy spawn and its so high you are just shoot me here sign since there is nothing than blue sky behind you you stick out so bad.
You have to be blind tunelvision W holder lover that lemmingtrain to middle cap to not notice tank there. But i guess ppl like you are responsible for all that crying that makes maps corridor arcade shooter. Also hill A (that this spot was one of counter for it) completely locking down entire map is fine for you?
Please do not accuse me of that. I am not asking for any map changes, I just want good map changes to be done.
I have seen more people cry about map changes (that aren’t even that bad) than people cry about maps being too large, or being flanked. Look in the mirror.
Sorry then but that was my first impression.
Good map changes im up for them just not like that not removing/cuting/red zoning places instead of accualy working on how to change them this all changes is half assed way to just do something for the sake of doing without any thinking about how it will impact gameplay/battle flow/one side advantage/etc - reworks is what is needed and game balance as a whole.
Long range combat i actually like a challenge of it, and flanking is so much fun if you goal is not just to drive the side of map to enemy spawn
Spawn camping is a issue and always will be since maps are just to small. Also the spawn protection we have now mechanic is worthless.
Blockquote If whole team sat there than its easy win for other side.
Except no. That’s how good those spots were. The entire team didn’t go there because it was bad, they went there because it was a busted spot.
Blockquote If some players sat there without doing anything useful they should let them sit there if they wont. Its their loss.
If people sit there and do nothing, it should make no difference if the spot is there or not. If they aren’t helping the team, removing it benefits the team by making people be useful.

Point is, those spots offered too much terrain control. If one side has an advantage over the entire game over one spot, it needs to be changed. I mean, if WT players have poor tactics and awareness, they’re actively working for a smarter player base by shaking things up. If the old tactic doesn’t work, make a new one.
I know it sucks, and sometimes they change maps in bad ways, but I believe these were good changes. Obviously some people disagree, and that’s okay. I do still think though, there’s some more maps that need to be changed, some that lack terrain and some that still have too much.
Clearly it was meant as battering ram and swordfighter, skill issue
/s
Maybe they should model the barrel so I can use it for that 😅
I think you are taking a comment too seriously, especially one that isn’t even wrong. Sniping is incredibly boring with how it is currently done in WT.
Saying that WT isn’t a sniping game is just a fact, it isn’t built around sniping, and sniping isn’t done well either.
I removed the comment BC I read some of your other responses. Frankly surprised to find a reply. I came back to check and to remove the comment BC after a night of sleep I felt it was too harsh and hyper critical and over reactive. I will endeavor to be more reasonable. A life long challenge for me personally. Thanks for the reply.
