Or the planes like some Phantoms, F-104s, or Mig-23s that are stuck with just 2 Aim-9Es/Ds/R-13Ms at 11.0-12.0.
I think we just need a whole stock grind overhaul, or at least a review of every plane.
applies to all jets that get only guns stock and unlock missiles later, especially bad with jets that don’t have the performance for gun kills like a jaguar
every plane i know of that has missilles gets 2 missiles stock only ones are things like F86 F40

Phantoms usually start with 2x useless IR AAMs only and the Tornado ADVs only start with 2x 9Ls which might as well be nothing at all. They are dependent on SARH for any match pressence

mig 19 gets guns only anything with only 2 missiles gets guns only im pretty sure but there pretty strong FM helps a lot
also early russian/chinese jets too, like the J-6A

to be fair the 9.7 harrier is rather strong once spaded as you get 2 free kills alot
have fun spading a harrier with only guns

VIFF is niche and risky to do in ARB because it bleeds speed fast. It is not a get out of jail free card.
Also, the slower you are the more vulnerable you are to IR missiles due to the inverted thrust curve and how IR signatures work.
Almost impossible to flare any IR Missile when slow in a harrier
Issue with your thinking, @BACKRAGE44428-live, that F-35s stealth will be any good with IR only meta is your fundamental misunderstanding of interaction between radars and stealth jets.
Im not saying I understand the subject perfectly, but even I am aware that the F-35s stealth isnt optical stealth, it still can be seen with naked eye. Its stealth doesnt even give it complete immunity from radar, it just extremely lowers its radar return signal to the point it is not picked up by radar.
Except, this only works past certain range. Because closer you are to the radar, stronger your return is.
So if F-35s were to engage in dogfights at ranges where they can effectively launch sidewinders, they would put themselves at range where their stealth would be useless.
And above all of that, you are still omitting the AAB and ARB markers.
Anyway all of that is beside the point; the old multipath isnt needed, and if anything, it needs to be lowered. What is needed is to solve the legacy stock grinds, and perhaps stock chaff for top tier jets.

I gotta agree with Morvan_ here.
the amount of missiles at top tier is good enough but you could make exclusions, like for more heavy aircraft that do not have the flight performance to gain RP/SL another way but missile combat.
First and foremost in my opinion chaff must become stock. Multipathing, in the way we have it ingame is a bad thing to rely on and become accustomed to. People must learn how to notch and deal with missiles at a proper BR before they start meeting missiles that are yet to come.
