The thread OP is about the live app, not the website. The app shows the other players overall SR1 which is only based on recent play.

ultimately the live app uses data already collected by statshark, no? so whatever “morality” argument extends to the site as well.
Privacy of what? Data from games You have played that are available to watch via server replay?

lol this is stats from a video game, not your home address.
If you dont want people to see that your most played vehicle is the Vilkas and you have a lower than 1 K/D ratio why are you still playing the game?
Servers replays are just that, replays. They shouldn’t gather any more context that. No data should be shared if the user doesn’t want to.
I use the Vilkas to get into CAS, she ain’t the best vehicle around.
Inb4 he demands all of his replays/gameplay to be somehow hidden from the public eye.

One big difference there is the online info is currently free to everyone, of course. If everyone stands to benefit the same, most people will say it’s nbd. “If you can look me up after a game I can look you up” is different from the paying players all leaving a game early because “you all junk.”

I couldnt agree more, however the Gaijin decided that your profile is publicly accessible, and frankly as far as i know, thats been standard for most PvP games that have any sort of scoreboard as well.
clearly theres consensus among most pvp games that your “stats” are fine being shown to public.

While fair and I get your angle, as I mentioned in my first comment in this thread, live game viewer is a tool - how said tool is used is entirely up to user.
Frankly Im convinced a toxic person will be toxic without live game viewer.

It doesn’t matter, what bothers me is that sites aggregate this data without any consent to begin with. A simple toggle that hides your stats from everyone except Gaijin would be all it would take. All replays do is show what a player did in that battle. It makes stalking and toxic people’s job a lot harder.
Again, fair, but as I said in the post I made all those months ago - are non-toxic people using live game viewer responsible for behaviour of the toxic users?
Im neither shilling out whatever amount Bruce_R1 said for the live viewer, nor logging into statshark website after their last drama, but if such tool was made public (and safe to use) id be most interested in having it.
