Dont do this. We actually lost this match due to a 3 man squad plus 1 at enemy spawn to the south east. They did not score for the entire match and should of helped at A
When will people realize that you can’t be spawn camped if you leave the match….the only reason spawn camping occurs is because people keep spawning….
I’ve never understood why people spawn knowing there are 10 barrels pointing at them.
Tbh if i could leave match due to being steam rolled and with out crew lock i would do more often than waiting for match to end in spectator view
Sometimes I will because I can usually take at least 1, maybe 2 of those 10 barrels with me and it pads my score and SL payout in the end. Sometimes I don’t bother. Depends on how annoyed I am :D
If you farm abyss spawn long enough, abyss might farm back or something along those lines.

Matches in this game are built on a snowball effect basis. Whoever wins the first engagement has momentum. Sometimes you can swing this back, but it’s an uphill struggle by definition, because the team with the initial advantage gets into better positions and the match becomes more and more lopsided as it progresses.
This is literally the core design of random battles.
The narrowing down of maps is making that first engagement even more crucial. Alpha strike is the meta.
If you get spawn-camped early on its just a sign your Team neglected taking care of the flanks / certain common paths and no one bothered with it, then the Enemy is reaping the rewards of it. For someone being on an OP Spot you can throw Artillery or Bombs via CAS on it.
When the Enemy already controls the Objectives and is now pushing Spawn thats completely normal, where else are they expected to go? Wait at the Objectives?
Hürtgen Forest is prime example, you can go bottom and spawn camp within like what two Minutes into the Game but you can also easily prevent it by just having two people go bottom and taking care of it. If those two fail and get killed the Team has to pay attention, send others to deal with the Enemies there - if no one does it why blame the more skilled Enemies for taking advantage of it?
There is simply no way to make a Map which won’t have Spawn Camping on it, you would have to make some invisible bubble xy large around the Spawn but then people are just going to snipe people going out of it.
Make some hills around the spawn and you end up with even less paths the enemy has to push in order to control the whole spawn.
Maybe one more Spawnpoint would help but that doesn’t guarantee safety.
Maps in soccer stadium size with MBTS that can shoot 4 km without problems and reach the enemy spawn in 30 seconds. In 2015 we only had 3 nations and half of the players complained that they needed 10 minutes to reach the CAP with their TOP tank “Maus”. perfect excuse found, so that they don’t have to build bigger RB maps anymore (they still did that in 2014!) .

same, I’ll only “spawn camp” at the last moments of the match but I’ve been using the hstv-l lately so I mainly just try to conceal myself and scout and take any shots I can at the other team but normally I get put of the receiving end of the steamrolling.

Maybe it is time for a separate forum for modern and WW2 games.I see so many people coming about phenomenon they see at top tier that does not happen at the lower levels such as helis spawn killing in the first few seconds.
Once a team gets the advantage there is really nothing else left to do. Thats why the spawn camping happens. There is spawn protection that helps sometimes. They could fix it by making bigger maps to combat this problem.
I have tried suggesting more quick communication choices, such that people could tell teammates about where the spawn campers are or coming from. No such suggestion saw light of day, though. I gave up.
Anyone defending Spawn Camping Or the devs are the problem.
I think the problem is, that you do not understand, that spawn camping is a result of the fact, that your team is losing battle.
You allowed enemy team to gain superior position and advantage over your own team. And you expect to get some big “artificial boost” to allows you to get out of this situation (read - punish enemy for being better than you).
If there is an option on map, that allows you to spawn camp straight from the start of the battle - that’s something to discuss and change. If spawn points can be placed in better postion (that will not give an advantage to any of the sides) - that’s something to discuss.
If enemy flank your team/steamrolled your team and simply wait for end of the battle - that’s on you (of course we can pretend, that it’s not your fault, but world around just decided to be nasty for you).
We already got spawn protection, which is (in my opinion) something, that work ok both in WT and in many other multiplayer games.
I fully agree, 90% of the time that spawn campign occurs, the dominant team has captured a majority of points, have air superiority and control over the map, guaranteeing the enemy team (which has done poorly enough to get trapped) the chance to leave spawn and fight back, undermines that victory and would double the length of matches, without anything of substance occuring.
The only fix to spawn camping is randomised spawns, and that is a terrible idea in itself, as it makes the game less uniform and grants unfair advantages based on RNG.
My conclusion is that penalising players for their success is a major mistake, and rewarding poor teamwork and gameplay with said ‘artificial boost’ would create a negative enviroment for the winning team, on top of the fact that it unnecessarily extends matches and increaes the length of the grind, just because people feel hard done by for losing

Shouldn’t be hard in ground to put Down a AT emplacement with the same idea.
Pak guns or similar during WW2 and Cold War era.
Tow missle emplacements for modern era all manned by AI.
map design is so horrible there are multiple maps that have one way streets out of their spawn on some spawns points. that can be guarded by a single tank destroyer , hell even Light tanks got ATGM’s or good enough ammo to get you disabled enough for their ATGM’s to hit or sit there just long enough for a MBT or Tank Destroyer to show up in high BR.
There are some maps ( mostly just desert maps, 1-2 of the wooded maps have this issue in my recollection ) that have a hill you have to go over to get out of spawn that all the enemy has to do is go just a little way out of their spawn and boom they got you. Those maps are okay for lower BR when you got to range your shots, yourself cus that’s just skill. But at high BR you get those laser range finders and it’s a wrap.
Hell if WT refunded some of the Spawn Points used to bring out your tank/ plane if you get spawn killed without even hitting an enemy. That might be a slight improvement (prob not effective)
Or if the enemy dose get to a range where they are just watching over your spawn they change the spawn point a little so they have to keep on moving. Not just sitting and getting all the kills. (Would be hard to implement)
The funny part is. So many people wanna defend this BS while the vast majority of WT players complain about it. God Forbid the devs have to make the game better am I right 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I have attempted to get over 13 of my friends to try out War Thunder. All but 1 continues to play. All the others have said along the lines of “ Let me know when the map designers get a brain” 🤣.
