To put it another way, the whole point of CAS is kills, since they can’t cap points anyway. If CAS killed me, then even if I INSTANTLY spawn in and take it out, it still has a 1:1 KD which is average, not ineffective. And then I’m now in a useless fighter plane if nobody else chooses to spawn, so I have to J out if I want to help my team again, so it actually got effectively 2:1 KD. Even if I kill 3 CAS before having to J out, they each still got 1.3 KD minimum, basically.
And that’s nearly the best case scenario. More likely, it will kill 2 or 3 of us on the ground before any of us spawn in and stop it, not just the one. Even people who are half blind and only got me because of kill cam (literally magical mind reading bullshit), they can just bomb the known spawn location after that and almost always get someone else.
Removing kill cam (or postponing it until after battle) so that CAS has a much more reasonable chance of getting 0 kills if not good at spotting, instead of 1 guaranteed kill, is more important than SP costs. I don’t know what to do about their usually-guaranteed kills in spawn.
Best ways of telling enemy that “Ha ha yeah i killed you so come bomb me right here!!” That sht should get remove long ago
If you stay still in the same place, it is easy to spot you, but if you move you will make your discovery more difficult. In most cases, a stationary tank is a dead tank. The kill cam is essential, especially for those who shoot on the spawn, otherwise you will never spot them.

And you cant spawn cas first. Plus you have to die to use it too.

Yeah that would do it, but there’s very few maps you can reasonably adjust to be like that. If you want it to work for the game in general, I think you need a rules/mechanics change of some sort, not an actual physical map change.
I’ve said multiple times that GRB needs FOBs for ground vehicles, whereby vehicle’s get fully rearmed and repaired, just like how airports work for CAS.
The FOBs would have walls all around (like real a FOB) and could even come with AT and AA defence for AI or players to use.
Imagine, one team dominates the caps, but instead of just camping an open field to kill respawning players, you have to assault a base. Maybe players controlling defences could earn their way to a respawn through earning points as a defender even? Giving chance for a counter attack through fresh respawns.
Maps could generally give better cover to any vehicle.The playerbase screamed for all cover to be removed so CAS must sit in the open screaming its position to air snd land enemies alike.

It already costs upward of 800 SP to spawn any remotely useful CAS at top tier, compared 80 SP for something like a Pantsir-1.

Hm yes a moving tank is difficult to kill sound pretty answer. Let see a moving tank leave engine smoke behind or in desert/snow maps a trail of smoke that anybody in CAS can see it. In rank 6 the CAS have CCIP Constantly Computed Impact Point rockets and bombs assist destroying stationary or moving target without flying low in spaa range.
A moving target works against inexperience players flying CAS but it don’t work against experience players.

Yeah I know of the ‘other’ tank game, I used to play it competitively, however that and WT play drastically different.
No one should be expected to pour thousands of hours into something completely unrelated to the primary mode at hand to remain competitive.
Only when you’re in a light load F-16 or similar vehicle. Ever tried to CAS with a Tornado? It’s fast but not manuverable, I was once shot down by a 2S6 when while manuvering at high altitude. And they claim the 2S6 sucked so bad they needed Pantsir S1. And here come the “sKiLL iSsUe” complainers…

Some prop attackers can be super cheap for a plane that can easily kill 4+ tanks.
Any cas with air to ground weaponry should be atleast 900-1000sp to spawn. Currently they can be as low as 600 for 2-4 free kills, while also being very hard to kill if the cas player has a brain.
You know what should be fixed? the fact that it costs 863+ SP for 2-6 AGM-65 or 657+ for 4 GBUs, but it only costs 549 SP for 16 Hellfires or Vikhrs. Seems balanced
900-1000 sp you can spawn drone already for 750 sp and drone are harder detect then CAS.
