People make terrible statements, and then tested it for those statements about those same jets that they said were “good” and are unable to perform well in them against a player whos got hand, its hilarious.
Those same players make bad statements and then complain when certain things dont happen their way. Or as they said it would.
Skill issue, playing the game is a problem all of a sudden. imagine facing a challenge and be like yeah nah imma quit and mass report cuz well i dont know what better to do.
@Stona_WT Can we stop moving threads into other threads that are almost, if not, a year old. thanks.
3 mile range, or if an aam was fired and acquired on that target, and they crash to avoid it hitting them, it counts for the player whom fired.
Again, once people stop doing it, the punishment can be lessened. You do make a good point however, Gajin’s mods are well known for issuing punishments for accidents.
I am not sure why you defend other people - especially as such accusations:
were actually true.
A friend from Brazil put me in the com loop (with mods) as he was actively chased/followed and teamkilled by him (confirmed by chat) - i watched 2 of these incidents in these bloody 3-hour replays.
This was in 2023 (within the old forum times) so i assumed he grew up and played nicely since those days. Especially as gaijin perma-banned his 2nd account.
Nice stats btw👍
I agree - these topics are usually raised by people who struggle to get something done. I see a point for those guys striving to increase their stats from a competitive aspect but from my pov there is no need to provide participation rewards. Because getting rewards without decisive action is a participation reward.
Regarding maneuver kills:
- This should be exclusively a thing outside missile BRs and require a undisturbed 1 vs 1 - so rather a SB topic.
- I still think that gaijin should reintroduce the proximity score - it gave participants of long (and often really challenging) 1 vs 1s at least a small reward before the usually useless suspects come in for a cheap 3rd party kill.
Regarding kill allocation when crashing:
- Imagine you force a Yak or P-38 at very high alt in a dive and he rips his wings and goes down like a meteor. You can’t follow as either your rip speed is too low or there are other enemies high. But - 6 km below you little Timmy is farming pillboxes in his P-47 and got the kill reward as he got almost hit by the carcass.
- Yesterday i caught an enemy a tree top level, de-synchronised my turn , dove for the kill shot and got caught by a ping spike form ~60 to 260 combined with a PL of ~30. Ofc i pancaked - why should the fellow enemy be rewarded for that?
So someone accidentally crashed not knowing their aircraft’s capabilities.
On top of that, that’s EC mode which wouldn’t get the feature anyway. [Not my opinion. Just a consequence of players exploiting proximity deaths.]
Well, that would be a maneuver kill IRL, so it makes sense.
It’s the same issue as one-death leavers.
If you believe the game is being unfair. Why would the player feel entitled to keep playing or give the enemy the kill? Especially If you feel if you’re in an inferior tree, vehicle or disadvantaged in some way?
“This dude’s just a shithead who thinks he’s good at the game in an OP aircraft while my aircraft sucks”
And the thing is, this line of thinking is partially true. You can replace aircraft with whatever you have gripes with.
I notice this phenomena rarely ever happened in 2014-2016, I still remember when people had the gentleman’s agreement not to shoot at burning aircraft.
I think one of the main reasons is player malcontent with the game. If you already have a preconceived notion that the game is fundamentally broken, you’re there only to get your enjoyment and dip if you feel if you’ve been wronged by unfair game balance.
for example. If I’m in a P-47 and some Yak, or Ki, or spitfire laser focuses on me, and I’m instantly set on the backfoot why wouldn’t someone feel like the game works against them?
Not only that, but changes and additions they make to the game. Recently with the BMP-T and the T-72 ARENA. Or the Rafale dominating, and even though there are multiple ways to fix it, Gaijin really really tip-toes around just adding a small upgrade that could help even the playing field even slightly for more aircraft.
Or making sudden changes to aircraft that affect their performance demonstrably. To the point you’d have to ask “Why gaijin?” Especially when these are aircraft that haven’t been touched in years that significantly can worsen their performance.
I think also why Gaijin doesn’t care about fixing it is easily answered in the interview with the question of “Why no new gamemodes?”
“Because people haven’t stopped playing, so we see no need.”
This is hilarious because marketwise, Gaijin has no real competitors that can strike a balance between realism and “Arcade” In terms of control scheme. So of course people aren’t going to leave. You’re the only option. Part of this is the patent for the control scheme they have. Which is a little bit too vague. But of course, if you make a new game and you make something similar. There’s a likelihood of Gaijin would come after you legally and no startup wants to risk that. The closest you can get is if you heavily mod KSP.
and j out before the bomb explodes
Yes. It all boils down to entitlement.
It doesn’t explain why it’s suddenly exploded in recent years. Entitlement is part of it sure. Especially when someone is a sore loser. But these issues weren’t prevalent until the past few years. One-death leavers in tanks had always been a problem but not to the extent it is now.
Doesn’t it?
The game used to focus on WW2, now it focuses on modern. That alone draws different new age groups, with different socializations. So this is one aspect that could be responsible. And there may be more, like new player influx in the pandemic etc.
a: is this statement true?
b: if so, why would this exclude entitlement?
Especially since all the things you described (in the post I quoted you from) are basically entitlement.
What the game does: It fulfills some peoples entitlement by letting them buy it TEMPORARILY.
Yes.
As the game started moving into the 2020’s. Even before then there were signs. That’s when Gaijin started to get it really atrocious, and began to start adding in Jets without finishing them. It was real rough patch at first with the addition of the F-100d Especially as the Mig-19 countered it in every metric, then the rush into the F-4 phantoms. Same with modern tanks. There was many more vehicles that could fill the back end.
This was also another reasoning I was thinking of. The game having a similar issue as Squad. Player influx, Not enough veteran players to get the whole of the new player base to learn. Either from forum, online discussions and in-game chat.
A good example was the aforementioned gentleman’s agreement people had to not shoot burning aircraft as they were essentially guaranteed kills back then.
i only do it against ariete users, they know exactly how atrociously annoying that jet is and i simply refuse to give them the satisfaction :)
Air RB I don’t care. It costs more to repair a crash than a death, right? At least for me it always has me do a full repair cost even for a short battle. My repair costs are just random for regular deaths. Sometimes full for short games, sometimes nothing for long games. Bug? Community Bug Reporting System
It’s GRB nuke carriers who always suicide on me rather than let me get a nuke kill. I’ve had several people ditch their nukes as soon as they see my Mig25 with a missile out. Always Chinese players.
Bring back the China server, plz. That solves 90% of WT’s issues right there.
Also make nuke suicides give the award to the closest player. Easy. If you’re skilled enough to get a nuke but can’t deliver it without crashing, don’t take off.
“I rather toss the board then let others win” = “sore loser”.

Less. Cuz crashing stops the repair accumulation timer, running away doesnt.
