Something Needs to be Done about people flying into the ground to avoid being killed

You know this argument only applies to the argument pushing for maneuver frags… right?
The ones that are crashing don’t care about their KD, cause they’re reducing it.

Nose diving to avoid being killed is an intentional act.

They care about not giving the kill to the opponent and having the last word, like kiddos.

A little bit like you right now, tbh.

Okay, now come up with a way to detect that.
Because without a 100% success rate on detecting that, you’re just going to make people that already feel bad about crashing feel worse, and you’re going to grant frags to people that didn’t want participation trophies.

You crash, it gives a kill. Simple.

It’s not rocket science.

Nah, I prefer working for my frags.
I don’t need to be given a participation award just because <1% of pilots that die around me do so by intentionally crashing.

Womp womp. People need to stop nose diving to avoid being killed.

Exactly. This inculdes:

Fly straight and got shot
Dogfights bad and got shot
Crash into the ground
Jout

and they should all lead to the same result: giving a kill

So that your allies are giving pressure, despite keeping their position for a better clean entry. You could not be the one who’s closest to the kill.

Doesn’t matter that much. Being closer have been proofed to be effective enough when judging Jout kills, and would not give to anyone else if the chaser doesn’t have a team. 2v1 gives to random 1, totally makes sense for a normal engagement won.

and for that post, hope thing are going fine in the us. and hope it wont have to be in italy.

I remember a feature that if someone J out or kill himself, it would count as a kill to the nearest opponent.

Seems like they removed it.

Once people see that toxic actions have consequences, they will stop doing it.

And if people get perma banned, they could lose their account and hard work for an accident, perma bans shouldn’t be in the game, but kill denying should be reportable for a week ban

I can’t observe this trend neither in arcade nor in realistic.

But I often receive kill credits from nowhere for I don’t know why. It wasn’t me, but thanks anyway.

As people start doing this during take-off, I am not so sure if it is always about “you”. I crashed a few times trying to evade missiles. You are between a rock and a hard place, so you can afford to take risks .

Ah, OK, it is a “you” issue.

Then maybe I was closer?

It happens very often in air simulator battles during air grind events, especially by so-called “zombers” or “Pve?” players.

They will also gang up and do it as a concentrated effort to make you quit the lobby by denying you the ability to get rewards.

This guy wasn’t an intentional kill denier. He just got out-maneuvered (dodged into trees after reversal).

Did I not work for this kill?

Or what about this one? Ratefighting a Yak-3 in my 109 F4. Yak tries flaps and dive to gain speed. Yak rips flaps, loses control momentarily and crashes.

Or, this is Il2:GB not Warthunder but in this scenario the enemy pulled too many Gs and flew into the ground. Notably, I was credited this kill:

Oh.

And from the “super realistic” flightsim:

There are people like this, but OP is overblowing it. i meet some from time to time, mostly in bombers, or at least doing bomber duties. Generally i just laugh at the fact that you can force someone into the ground by, as zoomers love to say, “pure aura”

There’s only j out, and it still exists. It’s even giving kills from ~8km away from drones in GRB.

So sad not for crashing

For ground vehicles doesnt work. Many times people J out before spawnprotaction goes off, or when about to die.

I was shown a thread from reddit of people celebrating that a user called feetpics got a temp ban because he would with others harass people out of sim lobbys. honestly such an issue should be a perma ban

sim seems to be a total mess with toxic players far more than RB does

squishface getting a temp ban is dumb, Sim is full of OPEN lobbies that ANYONE can join at any time. cause you can join any lobby, != harassment

joining lobbies to intentionally target an individual, and following them across several of them is harassment though. and should be banned.

wow he plays the game!
did he call them names (in game)? did he go into the games just slobbering his mouth all over them in game chat?
no, all he did was join the game and play the game.
It’s not like hes just killing the guy that’s"muh being targeted" but also other people in the team.
Its not like he has some random ahh guy on the other team just shouting out the position of that one guy to witchhunt him
