Trap shots with these shells happen a lot. I died to an ostwind 2 in an IS-6 multiple times because a shell bounced off my turret and penned the engine deck or something killing my crew. And it’s definitely not a server overload if it happens within like 5 seconds from when the enemy starts shooting.
It’s just how these shells work for whatever reason
I’ve partly given up playing Sweden/France at 8.0/8.3 just because of the amount of autocannon spam that negates any advantage non autocannon carrying light tanks have in a 1 on 1.
I guess majority of these SPAA spammer arent as good as I am. But as time go on and more of these SPAA flood in and people learns where to shoot, then maybe you’ll see the problem
yea honestly my performance with the xm246 also depend on the map. CQC cluster fuck make it really easy to rack up kills. Longer range map makes the APHE lose their effective pen and I just die. That’s why my K/D is unstable
what? Sherman and other American medium tanks relies on APHE heavily as their main round, so do soviet heavies. British doesnt because they only use solid shot for a while.
Potent for side shots, maybe. But one major thing that we can’t do anymore is shooting Tiger cupola because the test footage from gaijin APHE rework, it wont nuke the turret anymore and instead it will only kill the commander.
I guess it would somewhat fix these 8.3 SPAA but I cant imagine the gameplay changes on the lower BR medium and heavy tanks against earlier Tiger model
They are also designed to defend themselves against ground vehicles, that’s why cannon armed SPAAG have the AP and SAP rounds in the first place - and in some cases dedicated secondary feeds with APDS.
