All city maps works, and forests and rocky ones can work. Plus the always existing clouds. Though maps like Mozdok… it’s painful enough to play as ground in it,
I’ve tried it a few times and frankly it’s no better. Bullpups handling gets a lot worse after exceeding some > 6km range. Yet 6km is about the max range of EyeBall Mk1, so it’s no better.
And outranging by MCLOS is simply the result of training, the same skill applies to gepards as to not show his position by tracers (credit to a guy I killed through thick fog under 1km clouds. I had 0 idea where he was but he shot and not move), reposition and hide (Make the plane lost visual and/or ofc, waste one of the 3 bullpups targeting you and preventing you from popping out again), and to suppress or just click planes down. Less people are willing to practice SPAA anyways.
funny, it wasnt the reverse bug or anything, I was just stading there repairing my track and the 35mm apit(aphe) hit me at the frontplate and killed me
Then there is something goofy about the first screenshot you posted.
The hypocenter/focus of the explosion REALLY looks like it is at same level as the middle of your barrel, which is obviously well above your UFP. You did mean UFP when you said “frontplate” right?
I’m not saying you are wrong - you were there. It’s just that explosion shot seems off then.
they are usually easy kills but I will say that their effectiveness especially against heavy tanks is a bit unrealistic. Even if one single shell does sneak through a small hole of a well armored tank it shouldn’t be doing catastrophic damage like they already do once they penetrate inside. And I’ve even noticed these APHE shells penetrate spots that othewise should be impossible or spots that get overpressured for no logical reason. They dont need to go up in BR but their shells need fixing thats for sure.
