Most we’ll get in the future with the F-2 is an F-2 Early (possibly 9Ls, but otherwise identical to ADTW) and an F-2 Late (AAM-5, maybe tested HMD)
I will wait for this, F2 is one of my favorite planes. Imagine HMD and AAM5 and AAM4B. Insnae.
Both the SI and Kai are still possible, I have a feeling that Gaijin won’t make top tier in Japan not Japanese.
Sadly I don’t think we will see those anytime soon, F-15JSI is still not real and F-2 Super Kai was only a proposal that lost out to the F-35.
But if you want a Japanese aircraft to look forward too, there might be a chance for a unique 5th gen once the game gets to that point. Not only was there a lot of components to it made (also a flying demonstrator, but that’s technically a different aircraft), but there’s also a surprising amount of detail on it especially compared to other 5th gen aircraft.
The JSI maybe, depends how much the Japanese MoD reveals.
The Kai was an idea, never tested and never reached past the talking stage. Its just as real as the Tiger II 10.5cm
Interesting, first time hearing of this prototype. Once USA gets the f22 raptor, I can see Japan maybe getting this and Korea getting the kf21 similarly. The game would be stale with just F22, su57, j20.
Yes, Gajin is preparing C&P F-35A and B, and then C&P from subtrees. That’s all Gajin knows how to do (they added a paper C&P F-16AJ instead of the real XF-2). This company has ruined my enjoyment of their game. They only want money.
So Gaijin added these before, I still think its possible. They got to make it up after adding f2 way too late. Please Gaijin let me hope

I mean, what else are you expecting? Pretty much everyone in the world uses any of the same three aircraft at this point. It’s not a bug that Gaijin is giving everyone largely the same aircraft, it’s just a feature of modern warfare.
And removed them… The Tiger 10.5cm at the time was questionable, the Super Kai is a very well known paper variant. Everything surrounding the F-2 is pretty secretive, eg we know they tested HMD but we have no other information or proof that the base F-2 can use it, so it’s not added.

What was the F-16AJ copy and pasted from exactly? There’s only four Block 10s in the game- The Netz/Netz (MOD), F-16A (US) and F-16AJ. The AJ uses different armament to all of them.

I think we need to find or wait for more concrete evidence for the HMD. It’s going to help the F2 so much. They can even add a new variant at like 14.0.
The US F-16A is a Block 10 with only 9Ls, the F-16AJ has a different radar, armament (7F and JM61A1)
I hope they at least allow JNAAM to be more unique. It’d be a shame if F-35s were all the same when there is a prototype missile meant for the F-35s that would be interesting in game.
It’s also based on the Meteor body that is integrated with the F-35, so fitment isn’t an issue.
They also added a made up fake F-16 variant instead of even the proposed F-16AJ. That addition is pretty much the worst decision making Gaijin has ever shown.
They could’ve added an XF-2A/B, they could’ve added a Thai / Indonesian F-16A, they could’ve added the F-14J that was actually considered far more seriously and actually trialed, they could’ve at least followed the proposal to make it accurate to what it was meant to be, but they did none of that.
Instead we have a fictional, downgraded configuration with removed features that doesn’t meet the minimum requirements of the competition it was submitted for anymore.
