Solution to One-Death-Leavers / One-Death-Quitters Problem

Yes it really does seem like that, you can go from missing everything, doing no damage to the one shot vehicles that you thought you were not even aimed properly at. Easy coverall is server problems, lag etc, but it seems that it is done intentionally a fine balance between annoying a player enough so they quit to getting them to play on and maybe spend their way too hard earned cash on basically a nebulous, non-existing item.

To be totally honest the game is an unbalanced , possibly rigged and predetermined thoroughly poor gaming experience. Most of the ground vehicles are just added to bulk out tech trees and boast that the game has more ground vehicles than any other and we have the World Record to say it is true, but vehicles in the low tiers like the majority of the armoured cars are just a waste.

Low tiers can be some of the most fun games you can have in this game however.

The problem is not 1 or 2 people ODL. The problem exists when half your team is gone in the span of 3 minutes and you suddenly realise you are fighting alone.

This would be solved if they simply locked top tier premiums until you reach rank 6 in your first tree, and then after you research your first TT top tier vehicle (it doesnt have to be end of the line) im thinking 10.0. All prems unlock in all other nations. They wont cause money but would be a good fix

Low tiers can be fun but really only because you have nothing to lose and the repair times are so short, generally they are a twitchy, sugar, caffeine close quarter combat knife fight. Ideal for the hyped up energy drink generation but not very engaging or interesting.
You second part is interesting you have to ask why are so many people leaving so soon, are they all intentionally picking on you in an organised way so you have a less than pleasurable experience or are the reasons a lot more complex and run deep into the actual heart of this game and the decisions that were originally made by the company ?

No it’s because you play funny wacky pre war unique vehicles.

I never even implied a reason. But often it is people bringing no lineup and only having a single tank and single plane. Way easier to check now with the new lineup showing feature

Bringing no line up which the company actively encourages and condones with the purchase of high tier vehicles, planes and ships. You see the advert and want to drive and battle in the Abraham or latest generation jet only to find you have to wade through nearly one hundred years worth of design, development and the games glacial progress, far easier to get the credit card out and jump right in. We as so called experienced players already know the pitfalls, no modifications a stock vehicle, no crew skills and also no other vehicles in your line up unless you spend another eighty dollars.
This is even worse in the Israeli tech tree you literally have no choice but to have one vehicle in your line up until you research more and the BR ratings make it troublesome. Unless of course again you pay for the privilege of having a line more agreeable to players like yourself.
Also some countries literally have one vehicle at a BR so in the uptier/downtier fun and games you will have vehicles in your line up that will struggle.
All in all a right mess if you think about it, and as normal the individual is blamed not the set up or system, an approach like in Kaizen or 5S would be more sensible.

I have no problem with a single vehicle only format. On the contrary, I welcome it…it means no more AC farming the ground game, something I have been asking for since the beta.

But you don’t have to “tag” me with that label, let me set it myself. I only run 1 vehicle, it has 0 to do with premiums, and I will never respawn after my first death. And I make no apologies for that.

So yeah, a single spawn format would be fantastic. It won’t happen because there’s no way Gaijin will take AC’s ability to farm points out of the ground game. But I like your proposal nonetheless.

Did you hear about this game, which I cannot name here, but its initials are WoT ? ;)

Played it for many years. It has it’s own sky cancer (arty) that pollutes the game…and a far more restrictive game format. Been there, done that, didn’t buy the t-shirt :).

I get my vehicle to the objective (a churchill so I should be getting there last) I am alone on the objective tanking some shots if I am lucky and nobody arrives to support me as they are all sat at the back in SPG’s, the team loses every point within a couple of minutes and the enemy team rush to the spawn and shoot into the spawn, why am I going to stay in the game for that?

The problem isn’t as visible at low tier. Check this out:

10 premium players left after 1 death, making the game impossible to win (I have 60% winrate).

Ohh I think you are expected to stay in the game so all the tank aces can get their double digit kill scores. There are whole pages on this topic in the forum with players whining like an unpaid Lady of the Night.
In my opinion you made the right decision if the game is so obviously unbalanced and one sided there is no point in carrying on just to maybe get a kill or two. Until the balance is sorted out and they stop selling premiums as single units it is the sensible option, yes both of these problems will never be sorted. One is too difficult and requires too much hard work which Gaijin are averse too and the other generates the bulk of cash to keep the game profitable.

it seems to be the same people who desperately try to defend spawn camping who whinge about people leaving early. They play like toxic cretins then wonder why nobody wants to play with them.

Yep they were holding the door open for everybody else when to came to handing out brains, logical thinking and critical thinking. But barged everyone out of the way when it was time for self importance and self entitlement.
I have always believed that as a game it is a horrible gaming experience, it has so much wrong with it that it outweighs all the fancy graphics and alleged realism ( it is no way realistic at all ).
I just treat it as a time waster on the same level as the multitude of mobile games which also cater for that rather vacuous gaming space. I play a bit as I have an inordinate amount of free time, and I have spent money on it but these days I would rather spend my money on something more deserving, even giving it to a homeless person receives a better return and some gratitude.

I would suggest a system Mechwarrior Online had where players were sorted into 5 levels based on their performance in game so you would wind up with a reasonable level of players around you. The utter try hards would end up with each other and the casual players would all end up playing each other. Granted you will wind up with some smurf accounts because the sweaty try hards will only be happy if they can steamroll people but it would help balance out player skills and possible make the game a little more tolerable for some.

But as long as people keep shoving money at the makers they won’t address issues.

Solution for this?
give up there’s nothing anyone can do
Yes I’m serious
Gaijin are incompetent they will do nothing but keep adding premium vehicles every update and cycle will never end.

The solution is to ignore it, just play if you want one vehicle, and if you want eight. The important thing is to clear your mind when you play (especially since Br6.7), kill if they let you, and die (despite everything, I still struggle to give kills to other players because of the game), since at the end of the day, it’s not like we lose a lot of money repairing vehicles. This is possibly the best thing the devs have done, since the way the game is now, and with the old repair costs, this would be a real hell.
Keep in mind that the devs are currently in a headlong rush, and they won’t bother fixing things when they could spend that time creating more premium vehicles and more content that encourages the purchase of more premium accounts, etc.

I have just been on the other side of this in a game, the opposing team lost control of two points and instead of moving to capture the third my entire team rushed forwards to camp their spawn and started responding to my requests for them to defend and capture objectives and leave their spawn like 12 year old call of duty players.

Once again, a toxic group of players who spoil the game for everyone else and then complain when the targets of their nonsense leave the game early.

i would love that as a 1 DL - i mean we would finally have a ground only mode :D
