We are not at school here buddy it’s a game.Nobody has to give excuses ,not to you ,me or anybody else.Like I said first time around ,the issues with ODL is it’s a PVP game and people have a choice to stay or go.
I very rarely left the game early until I finally ventured into mid BR with no premium and saw how s**t it was. Now I can barley be bothered to stay for one life never mind many.
The game became so crap I gave up for two months and just came back.Now I hear you gate keeping and to be honest its all about you.
I actually advocate hanging on in many cases as being overrun is where the kills are but when it’s a sky full of CAS or a spawn point with no cover then it’s time to go and onto the next game.No big deal.
Many online games are now are virtually empty now ,maybe WT will be the next one but if it is it will be WT’s fault not the player base

To get to that point in the game like this for example, cas everywhere, people everywhere, dude even nuked us. Leaving when your team is wiped IS NOT AN ISSUE.

So you come out with a line of fully modded tanks and a few premiums and I am crawling along in a WW2 dinosaur at walking speed with no means of repair and sub standard ammo.
I was playing the French M4 and it was the only tank I had in the line up. It’s a bit of a shitter with no armour and a solid shot so it’s hull down and hope for an downtier.
I can do well on some maps where I can use the advantages but on some maps it not even worth bothering with and no I am not going to fill the line up with 5BR stuff when I am already a BR below as it is.So one example of why I might f*** off after one. I only have one.
Currently my whole line up of USA is a load of unmodded turd where I don’t even have a fire extinguisher and cant repair.At 6.7 I have 5.7 CAS at best and I can hear f****** mini guns firing on the opposition team.It dog poo mate,stick it.
If I want to mod one tank at a time I will.If I am in an unmodded turd in the BR above I will leave.
If that is an issue then take it up with Gaijin
I only used one life ,I just happened to live longer but I left before the end.
The other poor sods were littered around the spawn zone ,a fine reward for playing to your rules.
Many games don’t lend themselves to PVP and to be honest all other humans do is act like dicks and ruin them compared to the solo games.
My point is you can’t do anything about how other people play and all that whining has done to War Thunder is see redline narrow maps, removal of all cover/trees/bushes and stupid spawn costs for CAS. Not to mention flooding the game with close range artillery.

What does it matter if ive got premiums? the premiums are usually either on par or worse than their TT counterparts.
Also I got the premiums from punting event vehicles so its not as if its impossible to get them, (yes im aware it requires time and thus for some its incredibly difficult)
What are you even on about? mate almost all the tanks I actively use are spaded or near enough to spaded, Them being premium or not makes no difference in the gameplay, what does make a difference is the spaded TT tanks that roll with a prem. Or are you suggesting a premium has some unfair advantage?
why use a tank if its the only one you have in a lineup ? its detrimental to your own gameplay loop.

I actively use that lineup man, its quite enjoyable especially that 202 pen solid shot at 5.0 / 5.3
Then build a full lineup aroudn the tank, dont use a tank above the others if you arent willing to bring the 4.0s into a 5.0 game xD thats an issue caused solely by your choices

The maps got changed due to hyper abusive spots that could literally lead to firing into one spawn to another, from one side of the map only.
The removal of bushes? or trees? never seen that man.
Theres genuine complaints about ULQ abusers as well here n there if thats where youre going with that.
Can turn the stuff off so its only historical, as I had it switched on for a bit and it did my box in seeing bright pink tanks.
Turn it off and you see the odd body pillow (which I personally find ridiculous).

A player with thousands of games knows when a game is over .A good player can tell when there is a cheat present,another reason to do one.So many reasons and that is your problem in trying to force players to play all their lives.
I ODL more now than I have ever done in the last four years because of the game not me or my mentality.

It might be when its fully modded, mine isn’t and after a number of games and kills ,still isn’t. It has tin foil for armour and is only freaking (honestly did you really say freaking, like Dr Evil? ) on certain maps and a liability on others.It also has Solid shot.At 6.7? Its a great down tier bully, again on certain maps but that’s it so far.If it can hull down and snipe great ,if not…
Solid shot while modelled wrong, and APHE is overperforming in this game is no small joke, the solid shot on the French tanks is pretty damn good TBH 85 pen at a 60 degree slope is potent.
While he did say freaking like a twonk, the Amx M4 is an absolutely potent tank at its BR one that im about to start spading actually.
French tanks thats their thing but, dont rely on armour bar maybe for the somau SM (which i dont have so dont quote me on how potent its armour is now adays)
For all the backwards and forwards I can only react to your ability to understand what anybody is saying to you. So many people have given you so many reasons why people are quitting in disgust at this game after one life especially at Top Tier and you still say it’s the players not the game.

You have actually agreed with me on a few things and as a default I don’t like to leave early but enough is enough for too many War Thunder players.
The solid shot in a down tier is fine. This thing eats Tigers for breakfast but it should as its fifties not WW2. In a balanced game with few mods it struggles unless it can hide and often it cant because of terrain.Try facing US heavies at it’s own BR and all the shots bounce.
Pplay it at a BR above you and it’s pointless.I have done well with it early on but only with the right terrain.Hull down ,moving forwards and back to hide behind minor hills.
I have had a few good games and only just got a the FPE and the ability to repair.
I don’t have any other 6.7 French tank, there is only one and that was recently added.
Like I said ,good reason to quit after one.Just one of many reasons this game provides.

Like i said, I know more people who have left the game, due to the people ODLing, than the so called “broken” stuff in it, Im well aware how some maps arent that good, or how compression is a ball buster in certain brackets.
While i disagree on ODLing that doesnt mean im saying the game is perfect.
Then why do they keep playing? why not show that enough is enough and bail until its fixed.
I know many who abuse ODLing as a way to maintain a KD, or to earn SL with prems as well.

Ive made it to top tier in over 5 nations and 9.3 for the rest bar sweden. with over 3000 hours im well versed in what is and isnt an issue in the game.
However, to take the blame of ODLing away from the players and place all responsibility on gaijin, is not the answer.
Ill tell you, ive sat in lobbies at top tier, and seen people with Leopard 2A7’s die and leave, why? to preserve KD ratios.
Ive seen them do it with Abrams sep V2s
CR2 Black Nights,
Merkava MK4M’s
T80BVM’s etc
all of these people have lineups, all of them tend to be on decent maps, most of them leave to preserve their KD or SL.
Which is ridiculous, the merkava and CR2s Are horrifingly bad right enough hence why not many use them now.
However, If you’re at the point you are so disillusioned with the game that you just leave every second match, be it for a bad map, or someone cross maps you, then why bother playing? Genuinely asking, not in that snidey remark way.
I have the last two games, its worked relatively well actually, suprisingly better than i thought, coming from the US 6.7 lineup with the M26 was brutal.
Then why not do the more sensible thing and use a 5.7 or 5.3 lineup and grind out another 6.7? or even 6.0 tank?

How do you punish players who clearly are already not loving the game that much or have bought a premium and only have one tank ,one life? If the game now is giving single tank players multi lives like they do with the Israeli M51 then that is a good start but it should have been done years ago and it shows its the game not the players that are at fault here.

If people are leaving top tier but not so much the lower tiers then what does that tell you? People came into the game in good faith and are losing faith.This forum has many long term players with 35000 games saying good bye do to relatively recent events. ODL is a symptom of something else. If premiums are the issue and Gaijin love selling premiums then do you expect Gaijin will change the game?
I actually was one of the first people to suggest that Gaijin gave multi spawns to single vehicle pack owners like you get with the M51 when starting Israel. I am not claiming to be an inventor but I was certainly up for it .I also suggested the Tiger pack idea of making duplicate copy past tanks more interesting to collectors although not as an expensive premium pack. I am trying to come up with answers for this.
If only having one pack vehicle is the sole cause of ODL then giving single vehicles multi lives would cure it.That is in Gaijin’s hands.
I don’t agree with ODL but I understand why it happens and why people do it.Paying players are customers.If they are unhappy then the game needs to get to grips with it.
If a customer in a restaurant is unhappy with the food do you hit him with the soup bowel or improve the food and service? Why call to punish players?
I just stopped for two months for the first time in four years. My conclusion is that I find the game to be a drag after 5BR now.I could say that is just me but I no it isn’t.
People are leaving mate,they even say good bye on here and everybody laughs at them. These people have been playing for 12 years with 30000 games and they are off in a huff.People on here say they wont miss them then the next thing they are bitching about how bad the teams are now and all the one vehicle players.
Like I said,the maps and the removal of cover pissed people off.Maybe all the tank busting CAS did to a degree as well. People are leaving long term and short term that is a fact.
I play France a lot and I liked the 5.7 line up.It made you think about things,like using cover.France had a full range at 5.7 including premiums and I had them all .At 6.7 when I played there was literally one tank and it is a mixed bag especially un modded. It was unaccompanied so I played it that way.This game just feed players reasons to ODL it really does,that is my point.
I understand your frustration but I do believe that the people who play this game only want the best for it and want to enjoy it not mess about or be messed about.Nobody likes to be ripped off or conned,there are to many games about that take the piss. This didn’t used to be one,now I am not so sure.
The issue is , as ive stated above, its not just the premium users, you have people at top tier with tanks that to even have them they must have got through and bought the previous tanks! still ODLing.
Thats the damn issue, Im seeing it at almost every BR bracket now bar like 4.7 and down it has started to spread further and further.
Initially it was due to the economy, the fact you didnt earn enough, and SL costs were waayyyy to high, on top of that there was also the issue folks had with maps and team compositions, hell people used to leave when they seen germany and russia on the same team.
They will hit a point they actively will have to.

Or the fact that theyre throwing prems into every BR, adding new modern jets while theres literally rhousands of unanswered bug reports.
Im well aware of the nonsense gaijin get upto that can result in leaving the game. I too take periodic extended breaks as well from it.
The cope paste premium packs are incosequential to most folks, the multiple tanks in one folks were moaning about as always, complaining when someone tries to make a difference.
The M51 getting 3 spawns is a fantastic idea as well, which if they even gave vehicles 2 spawns each rather than one, before using the backups then that would also help massively for many folks.
Could make a 2 tank lineup into a four tank lineup effectively.
See that is a genuine solution to what is a problem in the game.
I understand why people used to do it, and im aware of why people say they do it now, but I suppose I’ve also experienced so many folks that do it as well just to maintain a KD or SL balance that its plagued the view I have of it.
The biggest issue is the wales / paying customers are the ones who do it, like folks that buy a prem, use automated gameplay mecahnics aka bots then sell the acc.
Depends on the customer, if the customer is one who repeatively goes to the resteraunt to complain then they eventually get banned or charged etc. The call to punish players from me is of those who repeatedly leave almost every single game with one or no deaths.
That contribute nothing to the team or dynamic of the game other than to serve as fodder.
See I thought as well too, then changed my attitude towards it a bit, now I can happily go grind out the M1A2 sep if id like, or leclercs etc but im playing where I actively dont have to try hard to beat the oppositions, which sits at around the 6.7 to 9.3 area, primiraly the 8.0 bracket.
ive yet to see them leave that doesnt mean it isnt happening it just means ive not witnessed this yet, hell I see more of the older players on here than the newer ones now adays,

The maps were absolutely worse before this, as I said, they used to be able to camp up in a spot and usually pin down one side of the map from one camping spot.

CAS is a bit of an issue in cartain brackets , top tier its a shambles but I told you my stance on that.
But look at air, want a genuine reason to leave?
We have massive compression, the ME262 going toe to toe with the F86 saber, or mig15 which is now the same BR as the meteor Mk8.
or the fact the F104, mig19, arietes, yak38s etc etc at 9.3 need to move back up in BR but cant because the players just headbutt missiles from stuff like the A10 and Su25, WHICh also need to move up.
But gaijin flat out refused to.
So the compression from 10.3 has now compressed the full roaster at top tier all the way to 7.0.
Lets not even touch the ARH slinging EF2000s sitting at 14.0 when realistically we could see 15.0 to resolve the compression through a massive area.
Yet the player count goes up? a lot of folks say they are leaving then keep playing sadly.
Okay but france has had two more 6.7s for a long time, that being the amx-13 and the M26 which was added a while ago.
