Who are those people?
There’s nothing in my lineup that has that. I don’t have anything ,and in 8.7-9.3 BR there’s also no premium plane that i can use for that. The B52 is literally my only CAS aircraft for that br range.
Skyhawk at 8.7 has 3 bullpups. 2 of them got replaced by even stronger ones in latest update.
Maybe if :
1: You would play more in that range you would know, but clearly you don’t, so you talk a lot without substance.
2: '‘b52 cas warthunder’'on youtube should answer your question.
I grinded all important modules on f3h2 just by sliming hordes of tu95 and sometimes b52. In grb. Not a single arb battle because I despise arb and spit on it.
And then I open up their stats and see that their vids are cherry picked battles where they finally managed to get kills.
Maybe link a concrete video if you have something specific for it.
And if there are such videos, the should be able to teach you how to do it.
Complaining that an aircraft COMPLETELY not designed for and specialized for a certain role does badly in this role, yet still insisting in using it in said role is not an option?!?
What do you EXPECT from those aircraft?!? If you like them so much, at least be fair enough towards them and use them for what they are supposed to do, and don’t try to force them into a drawer into which they do not fit!
because content creators would never curate their videos to make something seem better than it is

You are being memed on because you said, and I quote:
you are quite literally failing and cant figure out why, and when people point out that it is because B-52 sucks as CAS you go “no that cant possibly be it” with your only defense being “people make video montages showing it works”.
Its the exact same as if someone said biplanes are viable in top tier because he saw a montage of guy shooting them down.
its the exact same as if someone pointed out WW2 derp guns + god mode are viable way to farm SL.
They spend 100 games failing, do well in 1 and then proclaim “HA SEE I TOLD YOU”.
its infuriating.
This isnt even “9 out of 10 times its better to just spawn a skyhawk with bullups in US 8.7 lineup”, this is “10 out of 10 times” scenario because there simply isnt any scenario where B-52 becomes the better, more consistent option.
to prevent any posible future newcomers to reach wrong conclusion about B52s viability as CAS because someone made a stupid claim.
Strategic bombers… in cas roles… how about no?
A torpedo bomber is not the same as a strategic bomber.
A strategical bombers entire intention is to carpet bomb the whole map. Cause realistically it would be destroying key assets, but cause most maps do not have full or semi-destruction except advancing to the Rhine. It realistically doesn’t serve any actual viable functionality.
A torpedo bomber is a multi-role naval aircraft able to operate on naval ships or airstrips, intended to provide precision or light aerial support to ground units.
Weak argument.
P.S: Reason Strategical bombers function as well as they do on the Advance to the Rhine is that most of the structures can be destroyed. So multiple aircraft with large bomb capacities destroying the environment allows your team and the enemy to see one another a lot more clearly with little to no protection.
One last thing: Defense Technical Information Center ← This is a publicly available source. So i am going to quote an excerpt that you could have used for your argument but didn’t.
Title: The Employment of Strategic Bombers in a Tactical Role: 1941-1951
woooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo, as a proud American, get the hell out of here!!! Carpet Bombing is necessary as hell! It is the most effective way to scare and goof around in warthudner.

What will benefit the team more, ever so slightly clearing up the sightlines for both enemy and friendly ground units with use of carpet bombing (because even if you blow up most of the houses ,theres still indestructible rubble), or taking out the enemy tanks directly?
"P.S: Reason Strategical bombers function as well as they do on the Advance to the Rhine is that most of the structures can be destroyed. "
If you are going to reply, think before you type.
The indestructible rubble is trivial at best. What isn’t is a structure where a single shell can touch it but not affect the tank. That is called Cover. A tiny rubble hill is sure cover, but often, with the sizes of tanks, it isn’t going to provide any actual necessary protection to stop your tank from being destroyed or crippled.
Gotta love people arguing with a game master about what could get them into trouble lol
Lemme throw the ju 288c into the mix.
Not quite as big of a boom.
But gets 2 of them. While being faster itself
Oh no, I can see slightly better.
Ts provides no advantages for your team at all
Yes, simply put.
I have managed to have a fair bit of good fun using the B52 in GRB without teamkilling. It isnt hard to do in all honesty. You just need to pay attention to your ground map and you can also use your thermal camera to look down at the ground and see where potential targets and friendlies are too.
If you didnt know, when you bring up the map, you can switch from the air map which shows air spawns etc to the ground map, which only shows that specific map and nothing outside of it. Use this second map in order to identify where allies are and the momentum of the battle. If you see your allies smashing the ever living heck out of the enemy line, DONT DROP. If you see the enemy is smashing your side? DO DROP.
Does this mean you will have passes without a good bomb drop? Yes.
Does this mean you will reduce your TKing heavily? Yes.
An ancient proverb and meme that has guided me for 20 years.
I’ve been having a lot of fun with the b52 in grb, if you read ground markers from the tank map and set a ccrp point you have enough bombs to surround an area. Its especially effective if you’re being spawncamped or someone is stuck repairing, if you can’t find a target, don’t drop. Go around. Circle for a bit until a new target arises and then that’s when you come in, aa are especially easy targets early game because they try and shoot you or track you which makes them easy to spot, and it’s not like they will move at all lol
My only tk with it is on a squad mate because of a mix of errors such as a lack of communication, me spreading a salvo too far, and then him driving straight into my 2000lb in an r3 trying to kill a scouted target i was bombing
…only if one doesn’t get the point, the point being that only because something can be used everywhere in WT, that doesn’t mean it also should be used everywhere.
It was an exaggerated example admittedly, though.
“all classes of aviation may be used to support ground forces” does not mean “all classes of of aviation may bomb any real or suspected enemy positions with no consideration of friendly troops in the area which may fall under friendly fire”.
What I also find important is this:
