I’m trying to upgrade the b52 as much as i can in ground realistic.
I manage to get it quite early in the game,and avoid early locks with constant countermeasures.
Well…by the time my bomb lands on the enemy base , in most case if we’re winning ,my teammates are already there spawncamping…and i warned them… 5 minutes before i even got near the point.
I ended up with 5 or so teamkills and got booted out of the match…
So what am i supposed to do? I can’t precision strike,i can only carpet,and i can’t really carpet the capture points as there are too many teammates around, so i can only do their spawn and hope i get the point right( carpet bombing is very innacurate) .
But then again…this was on a quite small map like Breslau.
Any ideeas?I can’t really go and hunt planes with the b52. And i won’t take it into Air RB.

Why not, it’s a bomber,isn’t that why it’s called a bomber?
Is there some kind of hidden rule i don’t know about that you don’t take strategic bombers in GRB? I’ve seen them before , and to be fair, there were people that got kills with them,3-4 .
Even I managed to get some kills on desert maps.

bro you grossly overestimate how much i care about you eventually getting permabanned for repeated teamkilling offenses. If anything, i will benefit from it since now the chance of you teamkilling me because youre deadset on using B-52 in GRB will objectively become zero.
Carpet bombing is ineffective in GRB, simple as. You even described the problem yourself
The strategic bombers that have place in GRB are the ones with bg bombs such as Pe-8 or anything UK carrying the big bomb.
youre trying to CAS… in a strategic bomber? the only bombers that kinda work for that is the PE8, Lancaster and Lincoln (the mosquito bomber is maybe the best at it because it can outrun most things too) because of the comically large bombs, other than that a strike aircraft or heavy fighter is generally the far better pick
use it in ARB or ASB where its actually able to do something
Selective quoting are we now? As I said i don’t carpet bomb the whole map, only the points where enemies are , and when i don’t see any allies close to there.

There have been people that i’ve saw in the BR i’m at use both the US variant and the Russian variant to bomb stuff ,and it works.
I came here looking for aid and guidance on how to actually to it and not get friendly fire like that,and i’m getting shit on for even taking that bomber.

How more aware do i need to be if i already warned the team of incoming bomb run in the enemy base ? Do you even listen to yourself? Have you not even ,for once thought that the problem here might , for a second be, the blatant overextension into the enemy base on certain maps?
For?You provoke me and i’m the one at fault for asking for guidance on how to do well with that plane.
And NO ,not taking it into a certain mode if it’s not locked is not an option. They released that plane for a reason and i know it can do well in GRB,i’ve seen it.

ive seen people take biplanes into top tier ARB and occasionally get lucky. Just because some people do it and in 1 out of 1000 games get lucky doesnt mean its a good idea or effective one.
