in uptiers you are supposed to fight against a stronger opponent than you. in downtiers you are supposed to fight against weakers opponents than you. This isnt a flaw in the game this is just how the game works.
You just dont want to face stronger opponents and you always want to face weaker opponents which is why you want to isolate sukhois.
Explain what isolating the Su27 means? It would meet equal competition if it was brought down to 13.0. How is that punching down? Please explain your point.
Except there are no downtiers for 12.3 or 13.3. As there are no 11.3-12.3 or 12.3-13.3 brackets. Aircraft at 13.3 ONLY face 14.0s

The F5 E and mig 21 should fight the F14 A and Mirage 2000s4 at 11.3 - 12.3? Sign me up for the farming session now. I even have money in the bank for premium time.
If you choose to bring a 11.3 to a 11.3-12.3 bracket then that is your choice (its one of the good things about sim is that you are given that choice)
but at the moment, 12.3s do not have a choice. They either play against 12.7s (50% of the time) or 13.0s (the other 50% of the time) they never once have a chance to be at the top of the bracket. For me in the Tornado Gr4 and Harrier Gr7, this means fighting Mig-29s all the time which is really annoying.
It also screws the 12.0s quite a bit, because they lack the “small uptier” bracket you would normally get, most aircraft are fine-ish when uptiered 0.3 by the MM, but aircraft like the F-4S or Tornado F3 are forced to fight in 12.7 matches more than they should.
Currently, most 12.3 aircraft are poorly placed likely due to the lack of 12.3 bracket. I would expect the F-14A IRIAF to move up to 12.7 if that bracket was added and potentially the regular F-14A as well. At the moment, they essentially do have 12.7 BRs

I can definitely agree that the mirage 2000s4 and F14 A are 12.7 planes. It almost seems as if the need a separate br bracket. Maybe 12.7 -13.0?
11.3 - 12.3 could be the cap before high tier. It would be the end of Vietnam tier with a handful of more modern vehicles that would not survive above 12.0.
They’ve never done it and I doubt they would. Where possible, they’ve always been +/- 1.0 (though an argument could be made that they should be +/- 0.7)
There is already a bracket where 13.0 is at the top (actually 2 at the moment though should normally only be 1, which should be adjsutable since 14.0 got added)
This is the fair system. A permanent 12.7-13.0 bracket would screw 12.7s out of ever seeing downtiers.
So. They need to add a 11.3-12.3 bracket for those at 12.3 that only see uptiers and those at 12.0 that dont see the slight uptuers,
They also need to add a 12.3-13.3 bracket. This gives aircraft at 13.3 the chance to see a downtier bracket and would replace one of the current 13.0 brackets, but 13.0 aircraft should still do fine in this bracket.
Gen-3 Fox-3 aircraft should be facing the overall far superior Gen-4 Fox-1 carriers so I dont see a need to seperate them and relegate those gen-3 fox-3 carriers to oblivion.
Several aircraft do need a rebalance. Such as the F-14 as they are likely under BRed at 12.3.
BRs are not based upon era, but instead based upon performance, to start balancing based upon era would cause no end of issues.
the current 12.7/13.0 brackets do appear to be less popular, but I would say this is due to the lack of premiums within this bracket and some of the issues relating to the aforementioned missing brackets. There is also not a lot of vehicles in general within this bracket.

The 12.7 aircraft are more than capable of competing with 13.0 aircraft. It would become a bracket of skill instead of farming kills by punching down. Avionics difference wouldn’t be that detrimental to game play.
I personally like the Br rotations from 12.0 and lower (not addressing the disaster of Sabre tier). For the most part they are balanced with few outliers. I believe that they should stop rotating and become permanent at 12.7 and higher.
Doesn’t matter. 12.7 aircraft should get a 11.7-12.7 the same way 11.7 aircraft get a 10.7-11.7 bracket. If they are fine against 13.0s then they should be 13.0
If there was a permanent 12.7-13.0 bracket. What happens to 13.3s? Move them all down to 13.0?
Wait I should fire a PD sparrow , sky flash or r27 at a plane with only four directional rwr? It won’t even give them a launch warning. I’m sorry but that is such a farm tier. Why would anyone play that br? Why setup a farm tier instead of balancing game play. How does this encourage people at the bottom of the bracket to even turn on their console or pc?
Yes I said that we should move the first generation su27 and Su 33 down to 13.0
If your aircraft is at the bottom of the bracket. Play a different aircraft. I like the fact the meta vehicle changes.

The tornado could definitely be brought down to 12.7 - 13.0
Not really. Farming Mig-23s is fun in the Tornado F3 when the 12.0 bracket comes aroundz but the other 3 rotations im in other aircraft like the Sea Harrier FRS1e at 10.7 or the Typhoon at 14.0.
But would rather enjoy dusting off the Harrier Gr7 with a 11.3-12.3 bracket
