At the current moment I can’t find games at 12.0 - 12.7 or the 12.3 - 13.0 matches. Most of them close due to a lack of players on the red side(Russian) participating. This is due to the over bearing presence of Phoenixes and Farkour 90 missiles. At 12.0 - 12.7 Red side is farmed by Tomcats. Vietnam era planes have to fight planes from the 1980s - 1990s. Most of the Vietnam Era aircraft at 12.0 do not have radar warning receivers that give range or missile warnings. Fighting in the 12.0 - 12.7 Br bracket is demoralizing for anyone at the bottom of the tier. Especially when IRCCM missiles are in this bracket. This Br rotation is completely useless at the current time.
The best answer to correct this problem is to create a permanent Br bracket from 12.7 - 13.0. This would force period appropriate fighters to face each other. Players on the red side would access to semi active missiles and would face vehicles with semi active missiles most of the time. The best way to balance the F15A, F16ADF, JAS39A, and F14 B is to bring the first generation SU27/J11 and SU 33 down to 13.0. This would also provide an intermediate tier for players to get used to IRCCM missiles and evading semi active missiles.
The 13.3 -14.0 should be a permanent Br Bracket to allow planes with fully active missiles to face each other. The over all environment in at top tier is chaotic with everyone multipathing 30 ft - 50ft off the deck and spamming missiles. The planes with semi active missiles are severely disadvantaged by losing lock while having to notch. The Su 27/J11 and Su33 with only R27ER are losing to look and shoot MICA-EM and the endless spam of Aim 120A/B.
Good luck trying to grind a vehicle besides anything that carries AIM-120B. I saw ‘Launch’ and ‘F15’ on my radar I straight up leaved the plane, there was nothing I could do.
So learn to defeat them, its pretty easy, though all the times i’ve played this bracket of late, Its been the Mig-29s farming everyone and not the F-14s
The problem is the lack of a 11.3-12.3 bracket which hopefully will be fixed soon. There are many aircraft that struggle in the 11.7/12,0-12.7 brackets because they are forced to be uptiered all the time against 12.7 or 13.0 aircraft. 12.3s in perticular that have no bracket all.
This bracket is too small. The better solution is the aforementioned inclusion of 12.3 and also 13.3 brackets which are currently missing.
No, Redfor already have the overwhelming advantage in 13.0 bracket due to the F4F-ICE. Su-27 spamming R-27ERs would kill the bracket for anyone not in the top 13.0 aircraft. Better solution is to move the F4F-ICE and F-15A up to 13.3 and then add the aforementioned 12.3-13.3 bracket.
Not sure what gamemode you’ve been playing ,but top tier is rarely deck hugging. I persoanlly sit about 30k ft. Multipathing is not the way to go anymore, its using chaff.
Again, this is the lack of a 13.3 bracket and we should be adding a 12.3-13.3 bracket instead of increasing the compression at 13.0. If all those aircraft moved down, then Id want multiple 13.0s to move down to 12.7 such as the Sea Harrier FA2.
V1 is without overlap. Disadvantage here is that we have 1 rotation with only 14.0 in (so you must have a 14.0 to be able too join), and one with 13.7-14.0 (need at least a 13.7 to join).
V2 has a few cases with overlap. This means that if you have a 13.0 max. plane, you can join either a 12.0-13.0 match, or a 13.0-14.0 match, etc.
V3 has a reduced overlap setup, but again “narrower” BR-ranges at topmost brackets. It is a bitit a balance between V1 and V2…
I agree with OP. In my opinion there should be a clear line of separation between fox3 planes and fox1 planes. Right now F14 are destroying the 12.7 br bracket, and even at 13.0 there are many problems with planes only armed with fox1 having to deal with fox3 missiles.
This NEEDS to be changed. Yes, you can evade fox3 and blah blah blah, but the point is that the planes with fox3 can dictate the fight and are just brainded to use when the opponents do not have any fox3. They can just spam missiles and if they get the kill then it’s good, if not they can just go home, and that’s boring. It’s a game with almost 0 risks involved. And people can deny this as much as they want, but empty lobbies just prove that playing red is boring and unfair, so people simply quit.
In my opinion, no fox 3 should be allowed below 13.3, so that we can allow stuff like mig29, su27, f15a, f16a and comparable planes to have a bracket where they can fight each other.
Then maybe add another rotation where 13.3 is top tier so that planes like the f14 or harriers do not get stomped every time by top tier planes.
Except most nations counter to the late Fox-1 aircraft like the F-15A and Su-27 ARE early fox-3 slingers. Like the Sea Harrier FA2, Viggen DI even the F4F-ICE.
