Sim should have different values then rb

So i was wondering if sim had different values for like speed cap rip speeds rcs machanics etc which im pretty sure it doesnt cause when i play the rafale the wings rip at the same speed as rb i think they should change it so sim makes it a literal sim like dcs exact rcs exact speeds twr wing rip all that to real life i dont play sim much but itd be cool i understand balance and all but i mean its sim the people who are playing sim mainly play it cause they cant play dcs and wt is next best thing with weapons

Things like rip speed are the same for both gamemodes and they are set to as accurate of a speed as possible with available information.

All the aspects you mentioned are likewise and are set to as close to realistic levels as possible for both gamemodes.

The core difference in SB is that you are flying within cockpit, with full controls and dont get warning messages alerting you to dangerous speeds.

Things like RCS being better modeled is relatively new to the game and hasnt been widely refined for most airframes yet. Though would be a logical next step for many aircraft.

The biggest imrpovement SB needs to see is an improvement to map designs (ideally making them larger) and the quality of the PvE aspects, such as bombing targets or AI aircraft.

They do need to be a lot bigger and thanks for the feedback from my experience in sim the maps make it feel like you take off and you see enemys immediately

Yeah…

And i’ve felt like this for years, with aircraft like the Tornado. Let alone Mach 2 aircraft like the Typhoon and Rafale.

The maps have needed a major expansion for a while.

Id say with a bit more efficient engines in sim 150 to 200 mile maps would be good for top tier since i think all the planes have atleast 2 external fuel tanks

Not all, but a majority (F-4s for example are stuck with only centre line tanks which means choosing between a gunpod or fuel tank and are awaiting wing tanks)

With the announced Falkland Island map, there is real potential for much much larger maps

but even just 256km by 256km would be a great start, compared to the current 128x128

Yea i forgot about the phantoms but yea that big would be nice since fox 3s are a little under a quarter of the range unless your using aim54/fakour 90 which is like half im not sure the exact amount of miles that is mb im not good with math on kilometers and miles but ik its pretty big

My experience in the Typhoon is that I am typically firing at about 30km, if that, but its possible for me to be brakes off, and up to 35k ft and traveling at Mach 1.0+ in under 3 minutes. Usually, by the time im up there, I could be already engaging a target and thats just asusming they are taking off too.

If they are already part way cross the map, I can easily be firing at something within a minute of taking off, which just feels terribly rushed

Exactly we should feel the climbing and going to the battle instead of take off fire die take off repeat non stop its not fun when you have a map you’ll find the entire enemy team in 1 sector and the rest no where else on the map

Yep, precisely, would also help make fuel management a more meaningful part of the experience. Its way too easy to just sit on max reheat all sortie long without a care in the world.

Yea cause rn you could take like 20 mins of fuel sit on full after burner and have no problem getting to the battlefeild but with the bigger maps itd mean supercruising or just cruising would be far better in the long run

Yeah, supercruise feels like a buzz word at the moment and not a meaningful advantage,

Even in fuel thirsty aircraft like the Tornados. I can take 1 hour of internal fuel + 30 mins in my combat tanks and still be too and from a base without running out of fuel. Would be nice if I had to manage my fuel burn more. Sometimes I ditch the tanks just for a bit of a challenge

and in the Shars or Bucs I barely need 10 minutes of fuel to complete a full sortie

And bigger maps would mean you actually need to get in range for your fox 3s instead of immediately being able to fire after taking off

Yeah, would help with that too. Also gives the weaker aircraft a chance to climb. FA2 for example is rather weak when fighting on equal terms but should be sat at 30k ft firing AMRAAM down on faster aircraft like the ICE

Exactly the maps simply arent made for actual fox 3 warfare which ig i understood most were made before fox 3s where implemented

We havent gotten a new map in 2.5 years, so when the last map was added the top aircraft were F-16s and Mig-29s. Though you did have the odd F-14 buzzing about, but yes, most maps pre-date even the F-14

Imo, the maps have been too small since the introduction of more advanced SARH slingers like the F-16 and Mig-29 let alone the slower/weaker AMRAAM slingers like the Sea Harrier, J-8F, etc etc.

F-15s, Typhoons, Rafales, etc its just insane

Exactly the current maps will never be ready for 5th gen stealth combat especially without things like ai awacs and such

Ripping is a bit of a fake mechanic anyway

GAIJIN claimed that the map included Stanley, San Carlos and Goose Green. This indicates that this map only covers the northern area of East Falkland Island.

We need different values for our aircraft compared to RB. The reason I say this is because Gaijin has a habit of caving to RB player demands (although this has also happened with Sim whining) so we have mutant FM’s today.

Such as:
Ridiculously stable 190’s,
A few years back they would tighten up in turns like the Spitfire (matches old and new flight reports) but they got tweaked into this mess we have today because some people wouldn’t take time to learn the aircraft.

Magical elevator 109’s.
This one is the fault or RB players on the old forum, they moaned that they “couldn’t BnZ as the elevator locked up!” and now we have 109’s that can execute rapid pullouts even above 650km/h indicated completely against reality.

Magical Shvaks.
RB players complained that the Shvak’s were “too weak!” and despite their reputation in reality of… being too weak, Gaijin have made them into rapid fire 30mm’s. I’m sure we’ve all been on the receiving end of these.

There’s tons more such as unstallable aircraft but this post is already too long, if we could have our own FM’s that are based purely on reality and not player demand it’d be superb.
