Sim rewards topic idea

Don’t get me wrong, I do want massively improved PvE gameplay within sim, but I just don’t think the answer is a PvE only mode, especially as the rewards would suck like they do for Heli PvE.

There is more than enough capacity within Air SIM for an engaging PvPvE gamemode that everyone can enjoy regardless of aircraft type

Well, current gameplay is intended to be PvPvE, but it is nearly just PvP. Honestly, I do not know how to improve it to bring balance and proper gameplay for any type of aircraft. Also, current PvE part is not quite good. Just targets without any goal except for reducing scores of enemy team.

Plenty of suggestion over the years for improvements in that regard, including overhauls to existing missions, just Gaijin has no interest in putting in any work for Sim. Heck, its been 2.5 years since we got a new map and we are still shooting down F-86 sabres in the Typhoon.

so its a deeper problem than just outdated PvE objectives, but if I had choice between a dedicated PvE gamemode or massive improvements to the PvPvE in Sim. Id chose the latter everytime

Such is the downside of bringing a strike aircraft.

True

That’s because you are using a 12.3 plane. You can’t have this efficiency if you are in 9-11.3 BR range. (I also don’t understand why people zomb in high rank planes like F4S)

I did most of it in the Phantom FG1 (11.3) or Sea Harrier FRS1 (10.7 at the time).

Dropping 16k of bombs on an AF netted less Score than just killing 3 zombers.

Nerf what gets exploited. reward real sim players

I think the best solution (if gaijin need different rewarding in sim than in other mods) is to reward after landing and not after 15mins in the game.
players would voule thayer planes, bigger activity in the game since noone would have to wait for the reward at the airfield, and it will still have that sound of risking SL.

Hmm i got better idea if u die u will only receive half of the reward if they die and if they land they will get all of the reward

I think it should be PvE, or at least it should include a significant amount of AI.
The reason is that AI can be organized into a cohesive team, forcing players to act as a team as well.
In PvP mode, if the enemy is disorganized (which is often the case), players can also play in a disorganized manner.
Additionally, PvE allows for the implementation of asymmetrical and unbalanced modes, thereby recreating real-life scenarios.

Nuh uh bad idea

Giving a reply without any argumentation is a bad idea, not PvE.

It could be made PvP with JUST bombers and attackers on both sides, but it might result in people inevitably gravitating towards the most fighter-like of those planes (Ki-45s, B7A2, A-36, etc) and it would just turn into bootleg Air RB again. Would still definitely be worth exploring though, IMO.

My reason? ai targets dont mimic what a real life person would do some might spread some might not and plus sometime in real life a plane is coming after you and actually can destroy you some npc plane wont work since bots will have either too op flight model or too bad flight model which doesn’t mimic real life pilot response thereby thats the reason why it should be pvpve and not only pve

And for organized team problem? just play with friends

As I expected, you see PvE only as PvP. No, it is not like that and I will show you examples below.
But first, current bots are good enough to be put against average player. So, they can replace players in PvP battles.

Example 1. WT Live // Mission by KatukovM
This mission is designed for the planes pair Su-25SM3/Su-27

Phase 1. You should help bot Mig-29 fighting against bot F-16. When you play Su-25SM3, you do not have radar to detect enemy. So, it is quite challenging to complete this part. F-16 always kills Mig-29, so you do not have much time for help. This part is really hard for average player, especially in SB mode.

Phase 2. You should kill AA + planes on the ground. This part is designed in a way that player should use cannon or unguided weapon to complete this part. It is quite challenging for average player.

Phase 3. You should kill planes that hunt for Su-25 bot. But these planes can hunt for you as well. Bots appear randomly + they fly between mountains, so it is not so easy to find them before they reach Su-25 and kill it. Especially is SB mode.

Overall, I play this mission over and over again and it is much more enjoyable than playing current SB EC.

Example 2. WT Live // Mission by KatukovM

Phase 1. Kill enemy convoy. The challenge is to do so from 3.5km range. Looks like easy task for APFSDS rounds, but the convoy has trucks as well, so player should use other types of shells as well. And this part is quite challenging since there is no refill.

Phase 2. Switch to heli and help tanks to kill enemy tanks. The challenge is tanks looks a bit similar. Also, enemy tanks have automatic protection system. So, simple shooting at any tank does not work.

Phase 3. Suicide trucks chase our tanks to explode them. You should kill those trucks.
Planning to remaster this mission, so trucks will appear at random position as well.

As a conclusion, PvE is more about immersive gameplay with specific tasks, not about royal-battle gameplay like current SB EC mode.

You and i have different perspectives the reason why the sim rewards were nerfed was because of people just destroying ai again and again

not even AI, but Airfields

To my knowledge sim rewards were nerfed because of bots farmers. And those bots are not AI.
Players simply destroyed other inactive players.

I demostrated examples of pure PvE missions that are challenging for average players.
Gaijin just does not want to work on such type of content, though they have all the resources to do this.
