This is EC, not Deathmatch mode. It has objectives.
Nothing I described is a deathmatch.
Everything I described is integral to EC.
Escorting bombers. Intercepting bombers. Contesting A points. Patrolling over ground battles to intercept enemy strike craft and cover allied strike craft.
My best experience in Sim was when the entire lobby got focused down on either protecting, or killing an Il-2, il-8, il-10 (cant recall). Why? The ground targets were the most vital to winning and that Il-whatever was very good at securing ground kills.
A lot of fighters died on both sides to achieve their EC-focused, objective oriented goal.
Second best experience was similar: A lot of fighters dying escorting bombers over the English channel as Luftwaffe did its best to stop the raid. You know, like a reverse battle of britain or “What if luftwaffe still had potency during operation overlord.”
So objectively and factually speaking that’s a bad thing and needs to be addressed. Namely in SL buffs or repair cost nerfs
Spawn costs are the main issue, especially for new SIM players. It’s a huge hurdle if you die 5 times and loose 75.000 SL, while trying to get better.
The obvious frustrated reaction will be “Why am I playing this bullsh*t anyway?” and going back to RB or other games.
The cap is another thing, but that is only a problem for maybe the top 20%.
Annoying, but not game breaking.
3 years ago it could be 125.000 and no Insurance for premium account.
This was the time when you took care of your plane like never before, hehe.
Then you should not be surprised that 90% of effort is spent for AB and RB regimes
Currently it has only one objective - kill other players.
It is nearly impossible to do other activities.
That is untrue.
And you will lose.
Team of fighters always lose.
The mode has PvE-objectives, you know it, and completing them quickly leads to victory, sometimes you can even finish it in an hour (on high tier).
Objectives also include:
Air superiority
Bomber escort/interception
attacker escort/interception
Survey plane escort/interception
Protecting your allied players while they’re ground-pounding
You can easily win games in 10v10 or even full lobbies focusing on the aforementioned objectives without any bombing. Said objectives also all have PvP included. My last match in the F4U-4, I went to finish the game by taking down a bomber intercept and got jumped by bf109 that was hiding within the flock to catch someone doing just that.
Who do you think will win? A team full of F4U-4B or team full of Ju-288s?
Agree. If you do not play USSR you are able to do other activities.
Cannot say. I usually leave all the sessions (since enemy outnumbers my team) and do not follow the final result.
Honestly, I do not care about win/lose, since gameplay is horrible. No clear tasks. Just endless random actions.
I guess that is why most of the players consider sim to grind, but not to play.

Fast attacker is a key to win. You can intercept AI planes and wipe out ground forces, and often run away from fighters.

I play from start to victroy and every day I see more and more Su-25s, Su-39s and Su-24s destroying ground forces on arrows.

That’s all well and good but the sim rewards are still trash and doesn’t help promote the game mode to the grind-addicted masses.
I basically only play sim and no longer need rewards but will still advocate for improvement (though I do not have high hopes, except perhaps for “Aces of Thunder”).
Yep, same here. Rarely do I have much to grind for, but if I need SL for anything I don’t play SB, I take a premium cruiser into NRB and earn far more than I would even playing a Premium aircraft in sim, for far less effort. I don’t think the gamemode should be “OP” for grinding, but is certainly behind ARB at the moment, when it should be slightly ahead, even if that’s just because PvE targets are more consistent despite the rewards being the same
Strange recommendation, considering the fact you are playing on USSR plane in pro-western game.

AIM-120 will reach you even if you do 3-9 maneuver at 1200km/h and dropping dipoles.
