Scimitar Strike: Scimitar Mk.2

But that is what an event vehicle should be though.

The grind sucking is just a symptom of the grind being too much. The multipliers especially for ground need a notable increase

But actually good vehicles should be on the TT at best, or as SQV/Premiums at worse. Allowing people to get them at any time.

We dont want important and actually very capable vehicles to be gate-locked behind an event that many then might not be able to ever get in the future. Buc S1 for example is a very capable CAS aircraft for 8.7/9.0 and is one of the only half decent CAS aircraft for that BR.

i still dont get why it doesnt have apfsds

No, event vehicles shouldn’t be so bad and uninteresting. Even you will play 20-30 battles at most on this Scimitar Mk.2 and forget about its existence. Why do we even need such events? I don’t understand.

Scimitar mk.2 commander sight should not have thermals - by convention of how the commander’s thermal viewers are on other tanks

210,000 XP in a week for a worse Scimitar?

The only good thing about the Scimitar is it’s small and mobile. This mk.2 is taller and slower for marginal gains, yet is somehow 8.3 br, 0.6 higher than the mk.1.

I know British BRs tend to be higher than those of other nations, but the Scimitar mk.1 is already not a very competitive light tank at 7.7, so what is the justification for the worst 30mm autocannon to be 8.3 when Russia has radar-guided 37mm AA at 7.7 and a similar 30mm autocannon at 7.3?

Let alone if you compare to the Warrior, which is comprable in a lot of ways and even gets MILAN 2s

Has been closed for not enough evidence saying

You have not proved that in-game modification is an upgraded one.

Even though Scimitar Mk.2 was a completely new built vehicle from 2010, made after the upgrades to Mk.1s.
Gaijin conclude that the Mk.2 was built with thermal imaging equipment that was already established as obsolete on the Mk.1

I mean knowing how the British procurement system works… It honestly wouldn’t surprise me if they cut some deal for the Gen.1s that was something like: they get a 1% discount on the Gen.1s, but all vehicles must be built with that model of Gen.1 for the next 50 years and all upgrades to Gen.2 must be done through the same company after said vehicles arrive at their units having already been built with Gen.1s.

I doubt it in the case of CVRT2 as they did seem to actually care about this vehicle, only to abandon it for the steaming pile of junk that is ajax last year

Let me guess the bean counters decided that having functional equipment was too costly, so they went for something cheaper that will be completely useless until it’s been rebuilt 3 times at 5 times the cost of just buying the good thing to begin with…
I’m not trying to hate on the UK but it’s been a bit of a pattern…

I hear it’s actually really good now.

oh my. So heartwarming that Brittain gets such a nice treatment, meanwhile, Gaijin locked two mass-produced Hungarian tanks behind a Battlepass and an event. The Toldi II and Turan II. Despite the fact that an experimental version was and is available instead of the mass-produced Toldi II, and early production versions were and are available for the Turan II. But ofc Gaijin doesn’t do their research.

Would have been nice if the same thought process had been exercised back then too, instead of messing up the Hungarian subtree.

yep thats ajax. instead of buying CV90…

I can personally say that the SA80 platform is good, i fired plenty of rounds through a2 rifles as a cadet and the only failiures i ever had were from faulty magazines. it was just RSAF enfield not having the right tooling more than anything, to be honest thats just like ajax, ASCOD 2 is probably a perfectly fine platform, the manufacturing is just abysmally poor on QC.

I don’t know to much about the A2, but I have not heard good things about the A1, it was all dropping the mag, cracked frames and shooting the gas piston down range, then the system (I don’t know if that was the A2 or A3) went through a full rebuild with H&K, if I recall correctly, and the current system is pretty GOATed.

Industry is in a sorry state in general… you are still hard pressed to out do the old Lee-Enfield .303 IMO…Yeah I’m a sucker for the classics.

NICE!!!
