Update 2.57.1.70 (Battle Rating changes implemented)

Increasing the BR of these planes wouldn’t be an issue, therefore, if the planes above it were also on higher BRs…

And same goes for many Ground vehicles. Vehicles which are deemed to be too strong for a BR, but too weak for the very next step.

That’s because compression remains to be an enormous issue yet to be truly addressed. The difference in capabilities between vehicles in full up/downtiers is still too big.

1974 plane with early 70s missiles that use another early 70s missile motor at 13.7 (faces 4.5 gens) is crazy

If you can teach the wallet warriors how to deal with Fakours (and get people to stop distracting themselves at that BR range), it will go down in BR!

One of the worst changes yet
Our feedback was mostly ignored
I don’t think there’s anyone happy with them (aside from a few tiger II players perhaps)

They recently added this option for the Scimitar, so there’s no clear reason why a similar approach couldn’t be considered for the Challengers.

Wasn’t there once a time that iraf can play againt top tier?

The SU-30MKK was my first plane with ARH missiles (my nickname says it all)—even as a rookie, I could handle it because its BR is way too low…

Now that I’ve discovered ~8–9 top-tier fighters and gained some experience in ARB, I’ve come to realize that the premium SU-30 is one of the best planes at BR 13.7. Seriously, I have absolutely no idea what it’s doing at BR 13.3 alongside fighters like the MiG-29SMT, F-16A ADF, etc. Seriously, the premium SU-30 is even better, IN MY OPINION, than a few BR 13.7 aircraft, such as the F-15C MSIP II and the MiG-29KR…

Interestingly, the premium SU-30 is clearly faster than the MiG-29SMT AND EVEN the MiG-29KR, which completely contradicts the information on the War Thunder Wiki. Gaijin, how is it that an aircraft with a climb rate of 205 m/s is noticeably faster than one with a climb rate of over 300 m/s? What’s more, the SU-27/30/33 has excellent flight handling that allows for sharp maneuvers without significant speed loss, while the MiG-29 is a disaster when it comes to energy retention—a 90° maneuver to notch results in a noticeable loss of speed compared to the SU…

The SU-30MKK/MK2 are BR 13.7 fighters, placed one tier lower in the combat classification for obvious reasons…

PS: Gaijin, please finally raise the BR to 15.7 and give fighters in the 12.3–13.3 BR range a little breathing room…
An F-16A at BR 12.3 fighting against a BR 13.3 is absurd; even fighting a BR 13.0 is quite a challenge when you only have AIM-9Ls…

P.S. II: Why does the F-16A have a BR of 12.7 in ASB when the Netz, with its better Python 3 missiles, already has a BR of 12.3 in simulation battles? That doesn’t make sense.

I mean… its something, I guess? We partially got through to them? 5.7 is still too high, especially when they are at best equal in performance to the 4.7 Yak-3 and just-nerfed-to-4.7 Spitfire F Mk IX. Let alone the 4.7 F8F-1 lmao. The fact they still went to 6.0 in GRB still isnt fair.

@Stona_WT It would be really appreciated if we could get some official explanation as to why Gaijin hates the Zeros so much? None of us players can genuinely make any heads or tails of the decision making around these planes.

They were fine though. Especially after the engine nerf.

I really hate to say this, but the Scimitar event is still in the game tho it ended 2 days ago. And there’s still no SL crates, last year it was on this day.

This somehow doesn’t apply to the F-15C MSIP?

The mod grind for the F-15C MSIP makes 0 sense. you unlock AIM-9Ls as first weapon mod and then your only option to use them is to replace the better AIM-9M that you get stock…
The next weapon mod is the AIM-7M which are fairly useless when you fight a bunch of premiums that have x6 ARH.

for your third weapon mod you get more AIM-9Ms… which means you’d have to drop your x2 stock AIM-120As to use those and run it with x4 AIM-7M + x4 AIM-9M… basically the loadout you see on the 12.7 F-15A.

you have to grind 89,000 RP to get access to the AIM-120As…
Meanwhile someone clicks “buy” and gets x6 RVV-AE ARH missiles + 2 IR.

Don’t pretend it isn’t about leaving it at lower BR to sell more premiums. People aren’t stupid.

Can always be worse.

Im assuming the stock Aim-120s are the same pylon as the second Aim-9 slot? Which is kinda dumb and could be updated to be a different pylon to not conflict with the 9L or additional 9M, but that is a relatively minor change.

This would mean that you could run 2x 9Ls and the 2x Aim-9M alongside the stock 2x Aim-9M and you can run the Aim-7s on the empty pylons, not the best sure, but better than nothing.

Tornado F3 Late though…

You unlock 9Ls first but you cannot run 2x Aim-9M and 2x Aim-9Ls. Instead you can replace the 2x 9Ms with 4x Aim-9Ls which is a worthless trade you would never actually, after this you can get 4x Aim-9Ms, but the 9L mod is a waste of time.

Next, you get the Skyflash SuperTEMP mod, but you cant run 2x Aim-120s and 2x Skyflash, you can only replace the 2x Aim-120 stock with 4x Skyflash SuperTEMP, making it also a completely worthless mod unlock.

Then finally, you have the Aim-120 mod to take 4 xAim-120 at T4.

It might actually be the most stupid stock grind in the entire game

Why are you doing ~430kph well within gun SPAA range in a jet? There’s much bigger issues here than M163 existing.

Shouldn’t the ho229V3 be adjusted to a 6.7 rating in ground battle mode?

Why should it? It gets a HVAP belt with very decent pen

I must say, it feels a bit messed up that the AH-1G and Tzefa A now are at the same BR as the Japanese and Italian Hueys

But in exchange for 1 tv bomb you get, cm, rwr, wayyyy better guns, can run more total standoff munition, and you dont have to fight the york

I was baiting M163s so the Yak-9 could take em out. It was working until three spawned so neither of us could get close.

Some real baffling changes, very little listening to feedback was done
