SBC2 shouldn't have access to high altitude bomber spawns

SB2C doesn’t have a bombsight much like the JU-87s
But JU-87s aren’t rank III so they are left to rot, you can even look at at the american SB2C C-4, it isn’t rank III and it is a rarity to see even if it a tech tree vehicle.
They should 100% come down to a strike spawn.

Totally agree. Wearing my tin foil hat i would even claim that gaijin has created the JP/Thai version to lower JP win rates on purpose.

Why? A hell of pure tankers fly them and especially in small 6 vs 6 matches on Pacific maps they are for every experienced pilot free kills - and when you have 3 of them i your JP team you are usually doomed if US/UK has just one smart pilot.

I dunno about that, but if Japans Win rates plummet then I am all for that. So many of Japans WW2 aircraft are overtiered currently, and while the B7A2 is not one of them, they could definitely use some revision.

B7A2’s roll rate and 20mil ballistics are 2 achilles heel ot it compared to the SB2C’s (which I believe high performance is a weak point on it compared to B7A2’s)

Disagree on 20mm ballistics, uses the Type 99 mod 2. Those guns are fine. Would agree more with the Mod 1s if it had those.

Role rate definitely though. But the SB2C loses too much speed and energy in a turn that it can never get back, which the B7A2 can. (Especially the Homare 23 one). So I find you get one big turn and chance in the SB2C to get the kill, and then you are a sitting duck unless you are able to fly back towards the base and do a hard reset which can take several minutes to get the altitude and energy back.

Ill choos a slower roll rate any day of the week over that imo

For me, “dive bomber” alone should be a strike spawn.
IF it has a said class and HAS a bombsight, then it can use the bomber spawn.
The minimal requirement for a bomber spawn is:
1- Have “bomber” thrown around the classification.
2-Have a bombsight.
So Ju-87s, A-35 and a whole lot of american dive bombers would lose their airspawn.

Also
“SB2C loses to B7A2!”
SB2C (3.7) has better rollrate, better ballistics and an option to mount 4x 50cals on gunpods with full API-T belts. It can hold it’s own easily.

Also this thread just came when the Thai SB2C started being unlocked, man it was just a pain for me since I was passing though 3.7 america.
Pacific maps were just US vs US (Thailand)

Also the Thai SB2C probably made a lot of money for Gaijin, people that were abusing the French SB2C C-5 were probably watering their mouths behind all the complaints of C&P knowing a premium variant of their favorite rank III daily task grinder that would never meet japanese props would be coming to the game.

As written before (and also by others) - SB2Cs are one-trick ponies and are zero threat for a correct flown B7A2. Setting up energy traps takes time but is rather easy and your gun-pod thing plays no role as an SB2C never gets guns on target vs a B7A2.

The downside of the B7A2s is actually just to find the right convergence settings for the guns (i use 500m) and their damage model - even glancing hits kill your top speed and the wing tanks have a very strong tendency to catch fire - In the last 6 months i lost more planes to midfield aaa than to enemy fighters…

Also as written earlier: The average SB2C user is limited to head-ons and can score just vs rookies - the masses of untrained pilots in That SB2Cs is gigantic and they are no threat for any player with experience.

Regarding Pacific matches - it became way easier to beat JP teams if they come with 4 Thai SB2Cs - and much harder to win if you fly a B7A2 paired with 3 Thai SB2Cs.
