Reverse is hardly important on a vehicle with that ERA. There’s a reason why even the T-90M is a monster at its BR despite having a horrible reverse gear and reload rate. When you can recklessly tank shots, you don’t need to run away.
And that T-80UD should NOT be there either. Both vehicles are WAY too low in BR. The T-80B is inferior to them and shouldn’t be at the same BR or higher.
The T-90A has worse targeting and a worse reload. The shell performance is artificially worse only because the UD doesn’t get 3BM46, which the T-90A shouldn’t have, and needs to be a 10.3.
The slewing speed of the gun. The T-80 has superior targeting performance.
That’s the entire point. Russian ERA is not SLERA and shouldn’t withstand an impact several times. ERA doesn’t function like that. It’s one use. Period.
SLERA is the only exception and Gaijin has refused to model in in-game for years on the Merkava Mk.4 series.
Acceleration is not bad, but also not great. Makes it a little slower on getting ideal positions, I personally would not use it in competitive formats like SRE though
Would you rather use the T-90M or the SEPv2 when it comes to the lower mobility? I can tell you comfortably which one has an advantage for not zipping around.
Yet I doubt you’d use an Ariete for that because having armor is still important because it makes the enemy take more time to actually engage you properly.
When you play a tank like the Merkava Mk.4, your opponent doesn’t even have to aim. They can just fire anywhere and you die. In a Leopard or T-90M, the shot placement matters. Distance can make penetrations difficult and you can’t be wreckless with an opponent who’s armor can stop your shell reliably when you screw it up.
