Russian Bias: Raw MBT access in the 9.7-10.3BR region

Then give the T-80UD 3BM46? It’s not that hard.

Reverse is hardly important on a vehicle with that ERA. There’s a reason why even the T-90M is a monster at its BR despite having a horrible reverse gear and reload rate. When you can recklessly tank shots, you don’t need to run away.

And that T-80UD should NOT be there either. Both vehicles are WAY too low in BR. The T-80B is inferior to them and shouldn’t be at the same BR or higher.

You guys really put the 90M higher? I’m honestly surprised since it is quite ass

Not my opinion on it.

It’s very tanky and I love playing it.

If you want to experience “ass”, go play the Ariete or Merkava. They’re stupid fragile.

We can disagree on that.

Their armor is pretty similar to be honest.
I don’t know what you meant by traverse.

Accept what ?
It didn’t even trigger the ERA on the first shot, so framing it on K5 is disingenuous.

So it doesn’t belong there just because it has a special feature ?
Sorry but moving it above 10.7 doesn’t seem realistic without decompression.

Until your mantlet gets sniped, just like on all other tanks.
Having a backup option is always a good thing.

Some people obviously love to trade mobility and reload for a bit of turret armor. I wouldn’t do it personally though.

The T-90A has worse targeting and a worse reload. The shell performance is artificially worse only because the UD doesn’t get 3BM46, which the T-90A shouldn’t have, and needs to be a 10.3.

The slewing speed of the gun. The T-80 has superior targeting performance.

That’s the entire point. Russian ERA is not SLERA and shouldn’t withstand an impact several times. ERA doesn’t function like that. It’s one use. Period.

SLERA is the only exception and Gaijin has refused to model in in-game for years on the Merkava Mk.4 series.

The T-90M is only slower in reverse than its adversaries.

It’s not bad per se, But it kind of sucks in the mobility department (not just reverse)

I have not had this issue.

Acceleration is not bad, but also not great. Makes it a little slower on getting ideal positions, I personally would not use it in competitive formats like SRE though

Would you rather use the T-90M or the SEPv2 when it comes to the lower mobility? I can tell you comfortably which one has an advantage for not zipping around.

for SRE? Abrams easily. Gas turbine does wonders

I do not suggest using the SEP v2, ever. The v1 is better in every way.

I get that, but if the choice was between the 2. I’d use the Abrams

I would not. The M1A2 SEP, sure, but I’d never choose the v2 over the T-90M. The T-90M’s only drawback is its slow reload and reverse.

It makes up for that through the nuts survivability. I’ve only seen my Leopards take hits like that thing.

It has 3BM60 though.
Great thermals are also a bonus.

Both get 24 degrees horizontal when Aced.
80UD has 4.4 degrees vertical with 1989 having 3.5 degrees.
It’s better for sure, but is it noticeable ?

Your round impacted above the ERA plate.

I was comparing it to BVM.

In SRE format, Survivability means almost insignificant due to the nature of players. It’s all about getting the 1st shot

It’s been ages since I’ve used it, but regardless, the shell is forcing it to be at a BR which it doesn’t deserve.

Big difference in vertical is important, despite what you might assume only an extra degree per second provides.

1 extra degree is VERY noticeable when you’re moving on uneven terrain.

The plate should be blown off by the impact regardless, and if I impacted above the plate, then it should have penetrated the side of the hull.

Use both. You don’t “trade” anything. It’s the same Tech Tree and both have their pros and cons.

Yet I doubt you’d use an Ariete for that because having armor is still important because it makes the enemy take more time to actually engage you properly.

When you play a tank like the Merkava Mk.4, your opponent doesn’t even have to aim. They can just fire anywhere and you die. In a Leopard or T-90M, the shot placement matters. Distance can make penetrations difficult and you can’t be wreckless with an opponent who’s armor can stop your shell reliably when you screw it up.

Depends, I’ve seen other squads use it. Probably as a spare

But Leopard 2s are meta for a reason
