Then what is even the point of adding the damn thing if it will be broken to point of being unplayable. Also britain got the osa which makes every uk spaa from 10.0 up pointless, its even better than the adats but sits at 10.3.
IMO, the only russian bias ingame is the fact their coastal is stupid good and they have a pretty big monopoly on good postwar coastal vehicles, with Japan and US in second place and everyone else getting scraps comparatively.
Just look at French coastal, what is Combattante or La Surprise supposed to do against an SKR-7?
Britain has HMS Leopard, and HMCS Terra Nova.
Japan has JDS Ayanami and Chikugo.
Italy with Saetta and Albatros.
Soviets have SKR-1/7.
Germany has Koln and their own Albatros.
Though out of all of these, I believe the JDS Ayanami, German Albatros, and Terra Nova are by far the best for their BR ships. Having extremely potent fast firing guns that put the SKR series over-heating guns to shame.
As for torpedo boats… there’s something to be said about small.
Soviet’s funnest torpedo boats aren’t their best, and their best is 3.3: Pr.183, with Pr206 having two more torpedoes for a size increase.
In contrast, USA has a comparable ship to the 206 but at 3.3: PT-810. Not as good against PT boats hence why the Pr206 is 4.0 and not lower, but the size difference makes the PT-810 better for battleship BRs.
Germany is lucky and gets 4 amazing torpedo boats: V-990, VS-10, Pfeil, and Hugin.
With the Pr206 being a larger alternative.
Japan gets the strong PT-15.
Britain has Brave Borderer.
Italy gets shafted as they’re stuck with MC-490.
France just outright gets shafted.
Italy also has the most overpowered vessel in the entire game - RN Ghibli. All Frank Knoxes run from it after they spot one.
in my opinion there is no russian bias, i have no problem destroying a T90M or T80BVM with a Leo, you only have to know there weakpoints, lower frontplate is oneshot even if its angled but on the otherhand i think toptier cas is pretty strong but there is no differnce if its EF2000, Rafale, Su30 or Su34, in my opinion against this problem it would help to be able to join in battle with a designatet fighter with only AA capabilitys for less SP so we could have SPAA on ground and Fighters in the air to secure the groundforces but for the fighters you can only take AAM with you and the Air targetbelt and this possibility only for high tier 11.0+
I don’t know, i haven’t played that high BRs …But as a comparison CAP/CAS work better in AB than RB.
90% of my games in GRB result in me being the bad guy that spawns fighter imediately (with bombs for 1 run ) just to counter that fact, but i won’t stay and play ground to practically play second ARB not to mention you can’t gring ground vehicles with that gameplay.
So far in AB i never have a CAS problem, because as soon as they pop CAS someone (me or other) will pop CAP to deter them as much as possible and even if we won’t they don’t have time for a second run. And those points go to ground vehicle grind instead of air like in RB.
I don’t like the AB mechanics, because buffed models etc., but gameplay wise is far superior , way more fluid win or lose. And i stopped playing RB for tanks. The other option is SIM , though it has different lineups and i CBA to get into that much. But the very few games i tried, it was interesting as realism goes.
The best coastal vessel you can play all things taken in consideration is Japanese.
The SKR-7 is only ticking people off because it’s Soviet and easily available as a squadron vehicle, the Köln is far better yet nobody talks about it.
Neither La Combattante nor La Surprise are 4.3, it is expected that they would struggle against a 4.3 if the coastal BR made sense. And that’s the neat part, as a whole coastal BRs are whack, the SKRs are worth their BR, so are the Köln and a few other frigates, but nearly everything else isn’t.
Make the cost to spawn a Su-34 or Su-30SM a gazillion points then GRB going to heal.
i still remember when they increased a lot of mid range BR tanks for decompression, all nations going up, but for some reason russian ones received a buff of reload speed, like why? lol
or the Stinger controversy
Where are the incredibly obnoxious, spammy rockets on Koln? You know, the ones the SKRs have that can absolutely murder anything in CQC?
To be entirely fair, “struggle” is underselling it a bit. La Surprise doesn’t even get an FCS (god knows why), and La Combattante falls short compared to patrol boats much less postwar frigates.
It’s well and truly insane Gaijin thought the current naval BR system was a good idea, doubly so that they didn’t think to give French coastal any real standouts other than one good Aviso.
I mean, you can already bully the SKR at long range since it spawns with bluewater (as it should), and you also want to be able to roll up on it and be able to bully it a close range which is allegedly it’s domain ?
Cause sure the RBU-6000 is better than the M/50, but you’re trading main battery quality, protected ammoracks, and literally the best multi purpose secondary suite at 4.3 for those RBUs, it comes down to preferences in the end, but an overall competent package is better to a CQC one trick in my experience.
The SKR is a flashy boat that pops off when the conditions are right, whereas the Köln is the “boring” regular option that will get consistent good results.
Also the Köln looks better.
Gaijin most likely kneecapped La Combattante because it has missiles, nevermind that said missiles are the SS.11. As for La Surprise, it might get a bug report now that it’s no longer an event vehicle from 5 years ago that nobody went for…
Completely agree that the French coastal tree is bad, and it very much mirrors the introduction of the air tree where all the domestic options are overtiered, and all of the good options are foreign.
Also since I mentioned Köln, where Maillé-Brézé ?
so thats why we have the rafale from 2013 because of russian bias
btw you still didnt answer my question in a different thread
What did you expect from a russian game made by russian devs?
Even the first guy who replied to your post and says there is no bias is russian)
On the other side it’s ok, let them try to look cool in a video game at least
Frontal shots as in centre mass drivers port shots i’m assuming? Those are really finnicky for me tbh
there are nato issues, like the ones on the eurofighter for example that still haven’t been fixed despite being up for so long or having been “accepted”
Honestly I used to not believe these “Russian Bias” claims, thought this kind of claim just people’s excuse. But after I reached russian top tier and since played t80bvm awhile ago I change my mind. All I can say is I was having above 2kd on bvm even when it was still stocked and using 3bm42. There were so many times I think I should be dead if im in 99a, m1 or leopard2, but bvm magically survived sometimes even without damage. BTW I have similar crew level on these top tier mbts and playing same tactics.
So is it American/US bias to play any game made by American Devs?
It absolutely does exist in some form, it just isn’t in the “making their jets better than everybody elses’ form.” It absolutely does verifiably and undeniably exist in the form of “we will fix things faster if ussr” or “we will only add new features if they can go on ussr vehicles too” or other similar more subtle things
osa isnt that good
This boils down to the USSR being a major nation, plus there are a lot of unfixed Russian vehicles.
Very subtle. The major one I can think of is spall liners.
The only forms of Russian bias I can agree on is the Pantsir. KH-38MT’s maybe, however the CAS field has been somewhat leveled now.
