Russia Ground after update unplayable

The VBCI-2 is however painfully mid in the majority of engagements. The cannon is useless against someone that knows you’re there most of the time because it fires to slowly.
So you’d need to pull of a flank, shoot an unarmed vehicle, or get lucky.
The only thing good about it is the remote turret and above average mobility. It’s otherwise for to big.

Other nations that have competitive 10.0 IFVs are literally only USA, USSR, Sweden, and maybe Germany.

-My problem right now in this update is nothing but the German tech tree
I could reliably kill all tanks in top tier even with the T-80UK,
but when it comes to leopards, somehow my APFSDS which is supposed to only deflect at 78 and higher
deflects at 70 or less, or just a random optic on the leopard
and it isn’t a matter of me having bad aim, I aim for places I usually aim for, and somehow a new update comes, leopards having some weird armor that doesn’t care if I shoot at a place that has no armor and just deflects or absorbs it…
-Also, one thing I notice about you non-USSR mains is how much you like to talk about armor
just get good, I did test other nations, they do the same as USSR
-A damn placebo effect doesn’t change the fact that other nations has better tanks and planes than USSR
and all of that and I’m not counting depression
the amount of engagements I lost because of that 1 thing is a lot,
-Also, statistics are made by a bunch of biased people to prove their point, I don’t trust it.
-You want realistic NATO tanks
expect to only face each other then
and only meeting T-90M and BVM in down tiers
After all, if you want Realistic vehicles, expect balancing

The problem is that there are ways to balance the game, Escargot is barely even doing the bare minimum if you can even consider what they’ve been doing so far as that.

The T-90M and T-80BVM are perfectly fine tanks especially with how bad heavy era behaves in volumetric. The T-90M would have made a good back up to the T-80BVM but they decided the T-90M would be the tank that gets spall lining to make up for it.
Russia even gets the best SPAA in game with the Pantsir.

The Su-39, MiG-29SMT, and Su-27 aren’t exactly the worst aircraft in game either.
Same goes for the Ka-52.

Correct me if I’m wrong but didn’t the relikt bags on the side used to have 200mm of kinetic protection? They only have 20 now and I honestly don’t remember it being that low.

the bags were always 20mm, you’re thinking about the heavy era plate behind it

Russia unplayable LMAO!!
this is platinum of comedy.

HATO mains in here pretending like russia is OP

I only struggle with Russia when they are teamed with USA…hmmmmmm.

Interaction bait of a forum post

I think the biggest problem is that most spawns don’t have any cover against aerial threats. Even in an MBT or light tank it would already help if I could take cover behind a house to not get LGB’ed or missile’d to death as soon as I move or my spawn protection runs out. Being near cover also makes the SPAA job easier since you can hide behind cover when you know a missile or bomb is coming your way. You can either wait the 10-20s it takes for a kill greedy player to change targets or you can waste the time of someone being hyperfixated on you so other SPAA on your team have an easier job.
But on alot of maps it takes too long to get from your spawn to the first hard cover, and sometimes that hard cover is too exposed to ground units to really play around it when a plane comes from behind your spawn.

Are you maybe shooting upper hulls on up-armored 2A7Vs (that didn’t exist before the update)? You shouldn’t have a problem with gun mantlets or lower hulls, I’ve chewed through SO many Leo2s lately with just DM33.

Cover is strong but going in and behind a hill with a helicopter for 5 minutes isn’t really engaging gameplay to me. I’ve played in spawns with hard cover (Golden Quarry) I prefer spawns which offer wide open room to engage with (Fulda).

Engage with what? wide open spawns invite spawncamping, both from CAS and from tanks. If you have cover in your spawn, as an SPAA, you can still leave it for wide open areas, if you prefer that. It would also mean enemy tanks and aircraft don’t know your exact position, especially helis and planes look at spawns first.

The game, I don’t find it fun to be sliding out in and behind cover waiting 5 seconds for a missile to connect it’s also why I don’t like ATGM gameplay for helicopters.

Yes, cover in spawn is fine. It doesn’t replace what I advocate for though. Both is good.

So you would rather not have cover in spawns and get spawn killed immediately to not play a bit more defensively? Why is having cover in spawns a problem for that? Just drive 50m towards an open field if you need better sightlines, and let other people who don’t want to be bombed or shot the second their spawn protection runs out have some cover.

Well, if your problem is specifically something like Golden Quarry, the problem isn’t the spawns, but the fact that the tank map sits in a cauldron of mountainous terrain that makes it easy for planes to not be targettable for longer than 5 seconds. That’s a whole different problem which I agree with.

This isn’t an either / or

Room for SPAA is necessary

Cover is necessary

SPAA is in the back of both spawns, CAS knows where you are and will kill you. You can move forward but because the map is so small unless your team has obliterated the enemy you’re asking to die to an enemy tank.

Map size must be increased / designed to include room for SPAA to maneuver in.

Increasing map size would just increase issues instead of solving them.

On the other hand, alot of maps already include room for SPAAs to maneuver, but it is and always will be linked to the map control of your team. there just is no viable way to make SPAA positions where the enemy can’t get you even if there is no team supporting you. The remaining maps… need to be fixed, yeah, but the ones that come to mind have a general spawn camping or being nothing but an open plain with some height advantage positions problem

imo cover in spawns would help SPAA alot with dealing with immediate air threats, and then you’ll have the time (and hopefully map control) to get to other areas without a big red tank symbol on the map telling your enemy your position. Or even just for a tank to duck into cover while the SU25 is flying straight at it and then head for the inner parts of the map when it passes by.

Has it even been a week yet?

No.

its insane to think that there is people who legitimatelly think that top tier russia its unplayable taking in count the ammount of blatantly op stuff at the moment, people even claiming they cant use the pantsir with supersonic jets, if i can use a VT1 to kill a supersonic jet im very sure a pantsir can do it aswell
